Yeah the part that really sold Thanos as a villian to me was when he was crying because he felt he HAD to sacrifice Gamora to achieve his goal and give everyone his "mercy." I just absolutely love this film and it does not disappoint at all.

Since sacrificing someone you love is what acquires the soul stone, Red Skull never truly loved anyone unlike Thanos. That's why he was left to guard it instead perhaps.

They actually confirmed that all of Stan Lee's cameos are of the same character. He's supposed to be an agent for the watchers (iirc). You even see him telling the watchers about some of the stuff he's seen in Guardians 2.

The handle ceased to be Groot the second he cut it off. We've seen Groot leave pieces of himself all the time. In the end of Guardians 2, his room is covered in vines. Think about it this way. If I was snapped, my hair would vanish with me. If I got a hair cut a week before, that hair would stay behind because it's no longer a part of me.

my theory is that dr strange gave thanos the stone because when strange looked into the future at all the outcomes, giving thanos the stone is involved in that 1 outcome where they win. it had to be done for that outcome to play out perfectly. thats why he says ''there was no other way''

Something kind of clicked for me when I saw the freeze frame at 5:50. It didn't have much to do with the video more than speculation but that specific photo cuts a striking resemblance to Hulk's flying away on the Quinnjet in Ultron. The grimly set and illuminated face with a dark background complete with staring contemplatively into the distance. I may be seeing things that don't mean anything but I feel like that just furthers the idea of the Hulk coming to some epic confrontation or at least connection with the one person he truly lost to.
I just hope DC is taking notes.

My question is after Thanos snapped his finger, so much power was consumed from all the 6 infinity stones that infinity gauntlet was wrecked almost burnt or roasted even part of Thor's stormbreaker was burnt. So will Thanos be able to use the infinity guantlet again? or will we see Peter Dinklage making another guantlet for Thanos. Without the power of stones Avengers will have a pretty good chance of defeating Thanos.

I didn’t like that we didn’t get to see Thanos fight in Xandar to get the power stone and we didn’t see much fight in the Asgard space ship before he got the space stone. Also we didn’t see him use the mind stone.

I fully believe that everyone Thanos deleted was actually sent into the dimension inside the soul stone. The comics do state that is what the soul stone can do and it seems the movie shows that the dimension is there inside the stone. So a likely plot for Infinity War part 2 would be the left over avengers doing their best to get the stone back from Thanos and pulling their friends out of the stone.

It would have been funny if Thanos himself ended up being one of the people "deleted" by his little plan. Nowhere in there did it say he was immune to it. He said it would be nondiscriminatory, rich or poor, young or old. And I doubt he even knew HOW it would happen. To see him flake away into ash would have made me smile.
