Dude, I always speedran Flight back in the day, though not good, it was fun
The story is that a kid wants to write a letter to Santa, it ends up in the hands of many people who misinterpret it (the French guy thinks it's from a beautiful lady) and the letter continues on it's way until it reaches Santa... how Japan is the final stop to the North Poll is beyond me
I remember the french guy writing a response about a vacation and drawing a doodle of people next to a bonfire, then some Arabic guy can't read french and sees the bonfire and assumes the world is ending or something
actually you are starting from japan in the last section
and at least from the north of japan it is not really that far to the north pole
up from japan comes russia more specific siberia and then up to the north pole

Honestly, the main menu theme of _Flight_ is like a predecessor of any Lofi songs out there. It's relaxing and nostalgic.
fun fact: David Orr made the soundtrack for the game. Most people know him as the guy who made the soundtrack for all three Sonny games and those things are a bop

Yesterday when I was playing metal gear solid , I kept skipping cutscenes , and it caused me to not knowing where is the objectives,that made me understand the importance of cutscenes

This is actually a really touching story. This plane reaches the stars to make the wishes written on it by those who fly it come true.

The story is actually really sad and sweet. I would definitely recommend this game even if you're not speedrunning it.

Holy crap, I remember playing this game when i was around 8-10 (im almost 23 now). The soundtrack in this game is what i remember the most about which from what i recall, was great. Coming from a rough childhood and dealing with some childhood trauma, playing this game gave me a sense of peace and tranquility that i will never forget. So happy to see this game again after so long
I definitely recommend replaying it for the story. It’s really simple but it’s sweet
Since you like "tossing" games, try Destructo-Truck and Kick the Critter.

Speedrun idea: making 100 paper airplanes as fast as possible
I really love going up as high as I could on this one. Not sure if it actually helps speed running wise but it is very fun to be up so high. The scenery changes and there are the big stars.
My god, when I saw your speedrun of learn to fly I remembered this game, but not the name of it. Now I can replay it too.

I always played this game when I was about 4-5 so I didn’t even know what the upgrades did and got through the game through luck, I didn’t even care because I just found it fun to throw a paper plane through a city, it felt so good to get a new plane and I literally only played the game because I thought throwing the plane was the only goal, it’s so nice to see this game again.

OMG that game, the nostalgia, I played it quite a lot back then. When fully upgraded I would throw it and just let it glide by itself and it would gain 10k metres by itself without me doing anything

Making airplanes is the hardest thing I did in school. Maybe that was because I was too lazy with work so it didn't feel difficult.

For a game about paper airplanes, Flight is one of the most emotional games I’ve ever played.
Going slower might be more beneficial econ wise, it seems like at a certain velocity you stop collecting as many stars. In the early game it might be better to switch strats so you can get to better upgrades asap
Nah, if you're doing an any% run you wanna max out on velocity. Your days don't matter at all, and any time spent flying slowly is wasted time. But for the all-achievements run, you NEED to optimize your early days because beating each country in a certain number of days is a requirement

This was one of my favorite flash games, I would constantly go back to this game in different periods in my life. Loved the story, how it went from a little girl hoping her letter got to Santa, to a man hoping to find love , to a man who played guitar on the streets hoping to find success , very cool game 🎮

Back when I was a little girl, I loved this game and its music, so I searched for the info of this game in the platform where I played it. I downloaded the main menu theme called "I'm feeling lovely" and listened to it just like any other song in my phone (even in my "feeling lovely" days. It was so pure!). Today, after many years, having lost my phones and moved from home a couple times, I remembered that song. I just turned my PC on searching that game everywhere hoping it was still on the internet.
It's a surprise for me that this game has now an app and this guy having a CZcams video of this game with more than a million views! You didn't know back then when a game was popular, lol.
