10:45 "Armor, again, literally does nothing against a guy with a gun". Actually incorrect, there was a surprising amount of time where people wore full suits of armor to protect against firearms and it was quite effective. The armor looks very interesting too, because they used countless little grooves on the armor to disperse the force of the bullet.
That's also where the term bullet-proof came from, as the blacksmiths who made the armor would shoot it with a bullet, and the dent would be aproof that it could withstand

Any modern (reasonable) caliber firearm will penetrate medieval plate armor. Lots of videos out there showing it done

“Armor is really useless if it doesn’t do anything for you” he says, to a medieval knight who has never seen a gun before, and it has been proven before that plate armor wouldn’t protect from guns anyways because it was designed for the weapons of the time
actually, in the end of the plate armor period, there were examples of armor with bullet dents, so a well made piece of armor could stop a handgun round

It was the same as before both guns shoot high speed lead. Difference is one is better at mitigating air resistance thus packing more punch. As long as the shooting takes place in a long enough distance armor can work

9:38 well, armour can somewhat protect you from low caliber bullets, so it might not be such a bad idea to wear an armour against a guy with a pistol.

@@salmonticklerhistorically, not always. Smaller calibers and most earlier guns won't get through thick plate armor. It's really just a matter of how thick the armor is. The thicker it is, the stronger it is, but it also gets heavier.
