- In this video I show you How to Make ANY Helmet Self Tint!!! For the longest time Shoei has been the only ones to offer transition visors for there line of helmets leaving the rest of us to either buy and carry 2 shields every where we go or just deal with a dark shield and ride with a open helmet at night which is no fun at high speeds. Well finally I found a solution for the rest of us & its very Inexpensive.

Shoei isn’t the only manufacturer on the market with a photochromatic face shield. Sedici also offers one for their Strada series helmets, Bell has their “Protint” face shield for the Qualifier and RaceStar. Arai has a flip-up shade face shield for theirs as well. Alpinestars doesn’t have one for the Supertech R10, but one is in development for that helmet as well.
came here to say that; I rock a Bell (SRT Modular Predator Hi Viz) with a Protint visor, best bit of biking equipment I've ever bought.
Ah ok wasn’t aware of that as I wasn’t in the market for another Helmet and to look for any extra features they might have. But thank you for the info on that.
Just got to the end. If this is anything like "Transitions" glasses, put the visor in the freezer for 20mins. It made my glasses change much faster aftwards.
I’m not sure if it would be the same putting it in the freezer it might make it brittle as it’s not glass like transition glasses it is still made of plastic so im not going to test that theory unless the company wants to send me one to test out I can do a video on it but as of right now not likely to give that a try at the moment

On a side note, do you still rock the HJC? Your Shoei is so much better of a helmet in every way. HJC's almost always leave my ears ringing after because they're so loud and echoey. HJC's are great helmets to sell you on a better one LOL
Yes I totally 100,000% agree that the HJC helmet is just not as quiet as my shoei I am actually working on a video on how to actually try to make the HJC helmet just a bit more quieter out on the road I do wear my Shoei when I ride my R3 as it’s a comfortable helmet for that bike but a bit uncomfortable when I ride my GSXR so that’s why I use the HJC helmet for my Gsxr bike
So have to remove the pin lock from helmet if helmet came pre-installed with it?
If you were able to remove it I would suggest removing it if it’s not possible then it is possible to install this one over your existing pin lock
Does it make the air space between visor and tint-visor the same way as pinlock so there is no fogging?
Yes it does it the same way that’s why you want to make sure you don’t touch that area around the perimeter , if any dirt or debris gets on it, it will compromise the seal
Not true. You can get a self tinting shield for your Bell Qualifier helmet.
Didn’t know at time of filming that all manufacturers have made photo chromatic visors for all helmets thought that shoei was still the only one that’s why I made this video
