Regardless of whether someone is vegan or not, most of us would not be happy if someone gave us something we expressly stated we didnât want/prefer. When someone INTENTIONALLY and REPEATEDLY does so it is disrespectful and a much deeper problem.
Iâm not vegan, Iâm pescatarian. But Iâd be highly upset about the veggie burger being fried in bacon grease. The soon to be MIL doesnât know why the young lady is vegan. It could be for health reasons, etc⊠The relationship is sour at this point. Iâd bring my own food and limit my dealings with the MIL. I wonder how the fiancĂ© responded to the mom.
The MIL was wrong for cooking that ladies burger like that knowing that she's vegan. I feel like she did it out of spite & she probably don't like her. And the reason I say that is because she told her "you're not vegan anymore". I wonder if the husband knew and if the wife ever felt sick after eating the burgers? Because my cousin is vegan and she ate some cabbage at a Sunday dinner with a friend and she didn't know the lady cooked it with bacon and sausage. My cousin was sick for two days. And she knew it was the cabbage because she only had cabbage & cornbread.
I am not vegan but pescatarian and I would be sick and upset if my future mother-in law did this to me. For me the smell of pork or bacon fat literally makes me sick so I would have been able to discern that the burger was fried in bacon fat to not even consume it. Also it's deceptive and a bit seemingly evil for the mother to even do something like that.
Q5: Iâm vegan and I understand how this can upset her but she just needs to readjust and move forward. Sheâs still vegan because thatâs the intention she has set for herself. Now she knows she has to bring her own food to events or eat ahead of time. Iâve been living a vegan lifestyle for over a decade. You have to be ready for yourself because not everyone gets it or cares.
A conversation does need to be had about the joy his mother took in serving her bacon grease veggie burgers though. Thatâs a whole issue that sounds like itâs more than about food choices. đŹ
Q6. A conversation definitely needs to be had. I had a convo with my husband about where our relationship was going in 2014. We were engage in 2015, married in 2016. Still married today.

Marriage is going to enhance the dislike from the mom. I witnessed my own mom be mistreated and disrespected by her MIL. My step-dad did nothing. I was 15 when they married, 18 years later my mom was still experiencing the same shit which caused so many arguments in their home. Idk how or why my mama lived through that but I would have given him and his mama my ass to kiss when I saw he was going to side with his mom and not his wife. I DON'T WANT NOBODY'S MAMA'S BOY!
I have a cat and he can smell people with foul energy from a mile away and is quite overprotective. That first person's energy is beyond foul cause how you cheat and then think you have the right to be mad? Find a new place friend cause that cat finna stay on your ass.

First story, I remember I bought a dog and my husband never liked the dog because the dog wasnât trained because it was a puppy but it didnât like him so it would hump his shoes and leave doggy seamenđ . This story just brought up memories đđđ
