I was in the same situation last month for my birthday. My girlfriend that I’ve been dating now for 7 months told me that she had a surprise for me and a gift. The only questions I asked her was what time and how I should dress. When she told me that she had something important to do on my bday and that she didn’t get paid so she couldn’t take me out, but said she had a gift for me. I was cool with that and she ended up seeing me the day after my bday. My girlfriend was the one mad and upset because she couldn’t do what she planned to do for me. I told her that it was ok and all that mattered to me was spending time with her. I didn’t care what we did. We actually went to the park, sat on a bench and watched a movie from her phone. I thought it was so cute and adorable. It’s the little things for me. As long as it comes from the heart I’m cool with it
This is a good example why some people do not need to rush marriage, because some people will only show you the good side of themselves. Thankfully for him, he met her before her bday and got see the selfish, ungrateful and materialistic side of her. He dodged a bullet with that relationship!!! 🙌🏾🙏🏾

I enjoyed this segment. I was thinking the girl has another guy that she wanted to go out with, which is why she dropped that details of going out with "co-workers". But it all back fired on her.

I have a lot of food restrictions due to allergies (gluten, dairy, onions, garlic, certain types of beans, etc.), so I like when friends or whoever cooks for me because I'm told its hard to do by a lot of people. So I value it when someone wants to cook for me. I still would've gone, especially if it's something he's never done before. I also don't like surprises, so I would've asked questions too. As an introvert, I thought the "lie date" sounded nice and chill, especially after a long day of work. I mean, she could've at least compromised and said, "I wanted to go out, so I'm going to get drinks with my coworkers real quick, then come to ya place and chill with you."
