- The Colorado Rockies are stuck in a bad spot. In a division they've never won in their 30 year history and it's not getting any easier. The Dodgers have Shohei and others with an endless payroll, the Diamondbacks just won the NL and have a young team only getting better, and the Padres have major star power themselves.
So it's time to try something completely new to try and overcome these odds: A Draft Only Rebuild.
A staple of the channel, the Draft Only Rebuild challenges us to build the team up using only the Rookie and Rule 5 drafts after we tear down the ENTIRE 40 man roster after the first season.
One major twist added for this year: Trades. I am allowing 3 trades in this series, but only for prospects, and only for one prospect per trade. So we will need to time them right and make sure they hit to ensure we don't waste them.

The team got caught staring at the pinstripes.
Oh well, for an overachieving team, this run showed that we have the bats and overall fielding to make it happen, with some minor adjustments.
The pitching seems to be allllmost there, until it completely collapses. That means it's almost there, right? .....right?.......right!? Maybe the addition of Ungerer will help with the HR's.

Yeah not much we can do except hope these guys develop unfortunately. Hopefully they do.
I have found simming WS series wins to be oddly difficult regardless how great your squad is. I've had teams that won 130 games get swept by a team with no players above 90 or lose to them in the series too often
Baseball is tough. Should have lost to the braves and we won. Should have beat the Yankees and we are likely losing.
I hate that "slide into 2nd animation" that causes injuries. It is usually totally unnecessary to slide headfirst into second on a double where the 2nd baseman isn't even on the bag. The game gives players injury chances there that it really shouldn't.
Yeah definitely unnecessary in this case. His low durability finally comes back to bite us. He could have made a difference late.
Much like when Grady Little left Pedro in too long, I think it might be time to change the manager. Can’t make that mistake of leaving guys in too long, two games in a row. 😉 These Rockies have been resilient, but they can only overcome so much.
Still gotta give props to the managerial staff for the team overachieving this year, but certainly some questionable decisions in this series.

Don't get too down. I got a badass bullpen that poops the bed too!!
If I sim.... I do manage my bullpen a Lil bit manually. Nobody would blame you if you did. The computer seems to pick on you if you have a really good bullpen.
Or!!! This yrs narrative will be, the bullpen ruined the world series for ya. Your team will probably win it all next year

I’m catching up on the series now so maybe this has been addressed but maybe for your scouting since you have so many good SPs now you should switch your scouting and do RPs instead
