At CIT they had their own changing rooms, and also we were aloud to take the owners dog for walks, but we didn’t have to wash his car on a Sunday. Anyway, so that HBH would let me out of our Gentlemens Agreement, I tended to kick the ball over the housing estate during matches, so much so, that each game had to be abandoned for lack of any balls. Two years later we reached the ESFA (9th tier) cup final where Crosskeys were to face Hillend. Two minutes in, and their centre-forward kicked the ball over the fence and it landed in the Firth… the game was abandoned and the trophy handed to Hillsend as they had lost fewer balls.
