Di Maria arguably man of the match in La Décima and instrumental in the whole run.
Ozil: best playmaker in the world under Mou
Modric: Mou was ridiculed for this, but Modric turned into one of the GOAT midfielders, key player in 4 champions leagues, won ballon dor
Varane: perfect partner for Ramos, allowed Ancelotti and Zidane to transition from Pepe-Ramos to another world class pairing

yup, Jose was right and Man U fans are wrong. He's been your best manager since Ferguson tbh. He made a bad signing, but there is no way he could've predicted Sanchez, Lukaku, or Pobga to be so weak or uninspiring. Lukaku looked great at Everton, Sanchez in Arsenal, and Pobga for France. He asked for new defenders and the board didn't back him. The players imo (Pobga), played even worse because they knew that the pressure was on Mourinho and not them, and kicking Mourinho out means they can save their hides for some time. I miss football when players to accountability to how they play instead of the manager. Man U fans are idiots for believing Pobga who knows nothing about management instead of one of the most successful manager of all time.

United fans are the worst I have ever seen. All of them seem themselves as potential good managers. They give lineups to the manager on social media. The main problem of united is rooted in their so called legends who have turned pundits. So, day in day out, they give opinions on the media. Other clubs have fewer pundits on the media and they really don't talk bad about their teams often. So, the so called united legends give opinions that the street and stadium fans supports. It is beyond the players. The fans are taking powers from the manager and giving them to the players.
The fans claim always the united way, what is the united way? Before Ferguson, what was the united way? There is nothing like the united way. What they had during Ferguson era was the Ferguson way. So, they should forget about any way as the united way because Ferguson has retired.
The main proof that Ole will fail is that he doesn't have his managerial skills. He only focuses on the skills of Ferguson. You cannot copy and be the best or better than the one you copied. You need your way to become the best. That is why Ole can never succeed in United.
      I always write
United fans are better than their hired manager.

He wants to bring back the United way, he will sign players to suit his style of play( attacking football, to out run the opponents and be the hardest working team in the league) and he will win trophies. Yes, he is inexperienced... but he has a team working with him (phelen, Carrick, McKenna). And was there any doubt after his first 3 months of being United manager? Stop doubting him. So stop asking what's the United way. You aren't a true United fan if you don't actually know what the United way is. And stop doubting ole. But trying to paint this picture that Mourinho was some kind of blessing to United and was so harshly treated, simply isn't true. The board lost faith in him because the way he was isolating players and how a lot of his signings already had not worked out. He wanted Perisic from Inter who was another ageing player and on the decline, would have got a season or two out of him maximum. Inter's price was absurd, like £50m at the time.
His foundation was non-existent, none of his signings were working out in his final season, so where was the foundation?

Mourinho really did over achieve with United. People forget that he was the first Man United manager ever to win a trophy in his first season. Didn't win just one but two. Next season finished 2nd with 81 points to City who actually had a clear out and got good players in and got to the FA Cup final. All with Young, Smalling, Jones, etc... Unbelievable job.

Everyone knew that Chelsea would win the league after we best City 3-1 away. We had no European football, which is a massive advantage. 2017-18 City were just on another level, as I said they had a clear out and got players they needed where United only really got one quality player in Lukaku. Finishing 2nd with that team was incredible. Now look where United are. It's not the managers it's their board.

Utds league position was in relation to being 2nd biggest spenders. With spending comes expectation, 2nd wasn’t an incredible achievement. It’s what the board expected in return for their investment, see 8m 30secs.

    He really overachieved with United.
2 trophies in the 2 years he spent at United with a squad where Phil Jones makes the starting eleven is ridiculously good. Especially the Europa League.
His crowning achievement I think was when his team beat us 3-2, coming from two down, because at the time we were unstoppable to anyone that didn't start with an L and end in pool, but José somehow pulled it off. I thought the sacking was very harsh. Season 1 he wins 2 trophies, season 2 he finishes 2nd with a shite squad.
Ole is getting sucked off by the fans for simply being a former United player which is incredibly unfair on Mourinho. I understand Ole's start was incredible, but since then his team has collapsed and had some shittier results than Mourinho. Gotta feel for Jose here, how much I absolutely adore Pep, he was very harshly sacked. If Ole was in Mourinho's position after the Anfield loss I highly doubt he'd be sacked, and I 100% doubt most fans that called for Mourinho's sacking would call for his sacking.

All while man city were getting a lot better and so were liverpoool. Mourinho doesn't have the easiest personality to deal with but in terms of pure football knowledge this guy is pure gold. there's no other manager out there i would love to talk football to more than this guy. class. when he was at inter and madrid, he had players whose ambitions were to become the best. the culture was a winning one. this guy led real madrid to win la liga with 100 points and came very close to winning a CL if it wasnt for the missed penalties vs bayern.

The underlooked part of this speech is that Mourinho indirectly criticises Alex Ferguson for leaving a squad that didn't have a long-term perspective. He probably knew in 2013 that this was the right time to step down, as he saw that he couldn't rebuild the team the way he did in the mid-1990s or early-to-mid-2000s. I think he planned to retire already in the early Noughties, and from 2003 to 2006 United weren't performing as well as in the previous years. But Fergie knew that he had future prospects like Rooney and Ronaldo, something that wasn't the case in 2013.

I'll be honest here. I've always backed Jose Mourinho when he was at United and was disappointed when he was sacked. I knew it wouldn't be a great decision. Of course at the time I was with the many fans that called for him to go as the results and the performances of the team were unbearable. As soon as I saw the news that he was sacked I immediately told my dad that it'd be a very bad decision. We are seeing this now. Jose was right about these players. They don't work hard enough and are not GOOD ENOUGH. Martial has been awful ever since he signed that 5 yr contract and doesn't work hard enough at all. I will continue to back Ole but the board should've backed Mourinho cos he knew what he was doing. He is a better manager than Ole.
