You finally found a solution for shantae, repeater crosbow + barbed tips also very effective
I like repeater with barbed tips too, but the lack of a secondary weapon slot either means you'll need hokuto in backpack or to go without it
Hey, I'm pretty sure that this build originated from Pseychie. Maybe credit him in a pinned comment or in the description. I'm not 100% but that's who I saw first and he didn't mention anything about seeing the build before he played it.

also idk if throwing knife is necessary to duo-bind with multi-nock in this setup. I think it's fine without it personally. i think throwing knife is only necessary if using hokuto's in main hand instead of backpack.

i'd also consider using kill rhythm even tho its off-color.. i mean, the way i look at it is its a 15% increase in dps while at the same time it's a 15% increase in utility. that's the mutation i would go anyways...maybe...that's not gastro, emergency triage, or disengagement. tranquility is also great too, i would go that 100% of the time over point blank personally.. especially with a hit and run build like this.
one last question if anyone can answer. % dmg bonuses like 100% dmg to enemies in burning oil, 40% electrified, etc. it only applies to the base dmg of the weapon, right? like, it doesn't increase the bleed dmg from throwing knife. it doesn't increase the mark dmg from hokuto's. it doesn't increase barbed tips dmg. it only increases the base dmg of a weapon... so like, any kind of % bonus dmg affix is KIND of useless for hokuto's, throwing knife, carbine, etc. i mean, it's not totally useless, but it's not really all that important...? right?

i have a question, does the bonus dps from hokuto's get nerfed from having it in the backpack or no? I'm pretty sure it gets nerfed right? like it's only doing 50% of its dmg? i mean it's still good either way, I'm just wondering. cuz like I said, I prefer to have hokuto's in my main hand personally. like, i think if you paired them side by side, hokuto's is about as fast as triple-nock's, but if you duo-binded them with throwing knives in front, the throwing knife + hokuto's is going to be coming out a lot faster than the throwing knife + triple-nock. like, hokuto's is a much faster bow than triple nock, but it has a cooldown to it. this is why i prefer using throwing knife + hokuto's duo-binded over multi-nock. everything else is pretty much the same, cept I have a carbine in the backpack. I was curious as to whether barbed tips + triple nock works in the backpack, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work. It fires all 3 arrows, but i don't think they do the barbed tips dmg.

also don't think oil owl is necessary. tbh idk if owl is necessary at all. owl is amazing in the first couple biomes.. for me anyways when all i have is the hokuto's. hokuto's can struggle a bit in the first couple biomes before u get throwing knife or something else to pair with it, so the owl is just good for a constant source of dps. I personally think the poison owl is the best.. oil owl is great, but like, this build doesn't do fire dmg. you can get a fire turret i guess, but tesla is better. I suppose flame trail also exists, but it's not that great of an affix to begin with. i mean in comparison to toxic cloud it kind of blows, + it kind of needs pierce for it to be effective at all.

I personally prefer a wave of denial than the owl which owl is better but I'm still kinda bad XD. Edit: I tried this one a while ago and it is 10/10

The only difficulty in this build is the lack of a shield. Haven beaten 5BC multiple times I still cannot do a run well without a shield

did you really need the throwing knives? i think you have enough hits per second to max out the hokuto mark already
