    Love how at the same time you are talking about the game being esoterically complex the dialogue box makes the assertion "That's its." as though its all so simple lol. Nice editing

    Cave games just have better mechanics and the most beautiful bullet patterns. Also the their general artstyle is unmatched.

    • @abc2390986
      @abc2390986 Před 2 lety +1

      And ESPGaluda 2 has some of the best patterns out of cave games. In Mushi there are some bs patterns but this game has none. Just straight up honest but difficult bullet rains.

      Agreed, even the Treasure games are aesthetically pale by comparison imo. I really think Cave are the pinnacle of shmup game design

    Cave are the founding members of Toaplan. Toaplan essentially created the template for what we understand to be a Shmup/STG. They developed Tiger Heli, Slap Fight and so on. They achieve a level of professionalism and polish that few other devs in the genre manage to achieve.

    Thanks for the review! How this is a straight up port of the JP 360 version, (like to where the beginning tutorial is still in Japanese and mentions of Xbox 360 are still in the game), initially disappointed me, but this gives me hope that it won't take tons of effort for Livewire to bring Futari over someday. Also fingers crossed they get leaderboards up and running at some point.

    • @panochaberta1248
      @panochaberta1248 Před 2 lety +2

      This, it's a straight up port of 360 version. The good thing about it is that maybe livewire is going to release the other 360 cave games as a bunch. Futari, Ketsui and Daioujou are the ones i think they gonna port next

      @ShmupsOnSwitch  Před 2 lety +9

      I'm actually very confident there will be physical copies. These are arguably the biggest shmup releases on Switch and Livewire will have been beating away all the limited run companies with a stick from the moment they announced the games. Personally, I'd far prefer a more regular retail release, but either way, I'm pretty sure there's going to be some sort of physical edition eventually.
