The writers BETTER make Molly and Andrew last. I’m so tired of this “She can’t keep or have a man” being linked to her storyline. Just let her be happy and start a family, like c’mon. Andrew is an amazing man who understands her.

I notice a lot in storylines that the successful black woman cant find a man or in order to find one, she has to date down. Like REEEEEEEEEALLY date down. Molly is getting on my nerves right now but I really love Andrew for her. He's patient with her but not afraid to let her know what it is. She needs to hear that she's wrong. Ol girl needs a therapist.
Andrew is EVEN more charming with his Australian accent. Which he could have kept it for the show.
Oan, Molly keeps expecting people to read her mind. As was the case with Andrew, she gotta speak up. I'm glad
he's lowkey helping her realize this over the course of the season.
Yes, it is, but I saw an interview with Andrew aka Alexander Hodge and also one with Molly aka Yvonne Orji, and at the casting she was rooting for it, but I guess for the creators Andrew being Asian AND Australian, as in foreign, was a little much too handle for the character. I would've supported that, but had never know he was aussie until I watched interviews. He is a great catch and so is Molly, and they complement each other so well and have great chemistry.
They wanted to portray a specific type of Asian from LA/Gardena. I think Yvonne really tried to convince them to have him keep his accent tho haha
Felt like I was watching Andrew and Molly 's internal dialogue and not Yvonne and Alex discuss their characters lol
For real! I could completely see this as a scene in the show.
“Strong Black Woman” can be such a damaging trope for us.
But molly doesnt have that narrative.. like at all.. her problem is getting too attached to men before things get too serious .. not bragging that she needs no man... just because she has a job doesn't mean she is a strong black woman...
Right. I cringed when she said that. There is nothing wrong with being "strong." Strength has nothing to do with your schedule and making time for your personal life.

Molly was wrong on the date night thing. Of course, if you've been busy on all your other date nights, he got tired and started scheduling things to do, so she can't fault him for that; no one wants to sit around waiting for someone else. I felt, if she knew she was going to be off and able to spend the entire night with him, she should have given him some notice. Molly is kind of bad at communicating when she's unsure of something, but she needs to get better, especially if you want a lasting relationship; you cannot be afraid to say something and let whatever reaction or action happen. However, I think the characters really like each other and I hope they last. If Molly kind of works on her own glass house (and Andrew, too, because he has an issue communicating, as well) within this relationship, I think she and Andrew will make a great couple.
Molly's pretty much self-absorbed. She needs to get outta 'her self' so much. 🤦🏽♀️💞
