In 2020 Rae formed HOORAE, a multi-faceted media company that develops content across mediums in an effort to continue to break boundaries in storytelling and representation. HOORAE is comprised of HOORAE Media for film, tv and digital; Raedio, the music label, music supervision company, and “audio everywhere” company; and ColorCreative, its management division. Via HOORAE’s WarnerMedia deal, Issa has also expanded her Executive Producer slate with the Emmy-award nominated A BLACK LADY SKETCH SHOW, the fan-favorite docuseries SWEET LIFE, and the upcoming HBOMax series, RAP SH*T.
Rae’s commitment to South LA is evident in both her personal and professional pursuits. After planting roots near her childhood home, Issa decided to set up the HOORAE headquarters in the heart of South LA. Her participation in the non-profit organization Destination Crenshaw furthers her mission of celebrating Black Angelenos and her ownership in Hilltop Cafe + Kitchen provides much-needed jobs and opportunities for local residents as well as a space for creatives to unlock their potential. Additionally, as co-owner of the Black owned and operated hair care line, Sienna Naturals, Rae intends to continue to reimagine Black wellness and beauty. Sienna Naturals is a performance-driven vegan hair care line rooted in sustainability and intentionality and was awarded Cosmopolitans “Holy Grail Beauty Award” in 2021.

I noticed this too and checked to see if anyone else commented! I think that might have been around the time when there was drama between Issa's manager and Amanda. Or she was just tired or something.

It held our hands as we, even up to age 48, navigated through life in search of “wtf” do we do about this/do we do, now?” and HOW am I going to get it done? It was the evolution and update of “Girlfriends” that brought the coolest of “Boyfriends” along with it that Black woman/men needed and its absence is wholeheartedly felt! I binge watched this in a week. I am Asian but many, many of the circumstances, script etc resonate with me. It was such an experience to see each character grows and with it, their relationship with each other. When I got to the last season it felt like I said goodbye to a bunch of really good friends- but it was such a beautiful closure for the audience. I can foresee myself rewatching this a few years down the line. Also. This show makes me want to live in LA, chase my dreams, and wear colorful beautiful outfits!!!!
