    In this lesson, I'll show you how to play They Love Each Other, written by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. This is one of the easier three chord Dead tunes to play and I've designed this lesson to be digestible for the beginner. I'll also be giving a few intermediate tips and tricks so you guys can stretch your boundaries and grow as players. Grab your guitar and let's dive in!

    Great lesson. On the intro/ verse lick you call number 2 Jerry would sometimes start the lick starting with the G on D string to G on E string. Basically just switching up the octave sequence.

    The first part of the riff usually has a different rhythm, starting on a pick-up note (last 8th note of the previous measure) dup A dup dup A dup dup A dup bomp bomp bomp

    doesn't jerry oscillate between starting the octave lick on the higher note and lower note? sounds that way to me

    Should be alternating on the chord picking...listen to it and you"ll hear that.
