- David Holt interviews young fiddler Josh Goforth. From Marshall N.C. Watch for the performance of "Soldier's Joy with Benton Flippen, Arvil Freeman, Red Wilson Josh Goforth and David Holt. Goforth and Hold also play "Forked Deer"
This is a great interview and Josh has one of the best bow arms I have ever seen. I love how he plays more toward the middle of the bow.
Josh offered to give my son a fiddle lesson the next time he comes up to our area. He is such a great talent and certainly one of the best fiddle players to listen to. My son is very excited to get that lesson. Very cool.
All four players are amazing
I love this
Josh is the best !!! You haven't seen nothing till you see him in person playing . He still comes down to the Depot in Marshall once in a blue moon and plays : P
Seems like a great guy, and obviously a great fiddle player. Cool.
Cool vid, and even cooler because Josh is not afraid to be himself, and the tempo changes and dud notes are one reason why I am a fan of his (fuck autotune and trying to be "perfect", as real perfection means making mistakes etc).
I've heard about this series David did on PBS but, unfortunately, never saw it. I also heard one episode is focusd on mtn. dancing. would love to see that, if its posted up.
Hey Josh, great fiddling. are you related to the Goforths in Missouri like Cecil?
Was this before or after Gordon saved the world from the Combine?
