Yes, he did not survive and we never had a chance to meet him and get his blessings. He used to visit Saidapet during one of the festivals opposite to Karaneeswarar Temple at an annual concert organized by K Veeramani. He would always come towards the end and excite the crowd with his beauties such as Allah Allah Nee Illatha. I will never forget those days.

I am a youngster of 65 years and as some one has written they have seen the movie for the song alone 4 or 5 times. Yes those days apart from the story, songs were an excellent contribution to the success of the movie. Like many we are all die hard fans of Nadigar thilakam from the small childhood itself and there is no wonder we have seen this movie umpteen number of times. This video was a forward one along with the original. As I have heard the originals a number of times, started listening to the presentation of Subashree madam.The very next second I heard the voice of kalpalathika, I was clean bowled. So in turn I forwarded the video to my elder sister and she messaged back uninterestingly. I insisted her to listen leisurely. Later in the evening when I met her she was also full praise of kalpalathika. May God bless her and her husband pianist Ravishankar a very good musical life. And a brilliant work by Subasree Madam . The explanation by Subashree is outstanding. ( by the way I used to explain some songs in the same pattern then,) Cheers Subashree Madam God bless you with all health energy to take the music to great heights.

Well presented, the chorus part very difficult to sing in one breath. First charanam table beat a bit slowed down. Perfect in the second. Surprising that venkat, a master could do this. Also last touch of piano missed at the end both times which you (everyone) relished so much. Most difficult song. Hats off for choosing this number. Jamuna Rani Madam was a perfect choice for M N Rajam at that time. When asked about this song Kaviarasar said he wrote every line as a free verse not trying to connect it. That's his beauty of poetry.

All my life i have enjoyed listening so many songs.My favorite singer is p.suseela only.But , iam yet to hear a song like this with an opening that is so beatiful as the one sang by Jamuna rani mam.whenever i hear this song i feel assailed by the elegance of this extradinary song.
