I learned early on in life to READ the instructions first for everything. And never assume.
Even if I'm scratch building and using parts from kits, I ALWAYS look at the instructions. There might be something there I might miss otherwise.

Is there a part 2 for the '55 AMT Bel Air?
Not currently. I had to do some "Life Stuff", but I do intend on making it. - Also, I was trying to figure out how to actually film "Part 2", but since that time, I have thought of a few ways to do it.
