Yes!!! Some valuable info! I tried to build a launch coaster in my basement over 15 years and years ago, but it was bungee cords and springs! XD

Put brake pads from a car on the bottom of the cart and have them contact aluminum rods on the stretch of track after it goes over the top hat. Basically like friction brakes
