- In this video I answered a question from chat regarding how to go about starting up life skilling and how I went from 0 mastery to 1400. Life skilling in Black Desert Online has a steep learning curve and a ton of depth. We all started from somewhere, step by step we progressed.
BDO is a game which has many avenues. Life skilling is considered one of the best money making route in the game and rightfully so. You can make billions in a day for much less effort compared to grinding. The amount of money you make per hour directly scales with your mastery level.
During this video, I also explain how to level to Guru Cooking.

This is amazing. Evildousharm has good videos but the way you literally broke down step by step early/mid/late goals is exactly what i needed.
There is a Lvl4 workshop in Odraxia that I think is cheapest to get in the game, only need 4CP to get, 2 for previous house and 2 for the workshop itself.
Edit: Downside only is getting to there, which can easily be solved by just using the transportation for the materials

I also watched all of russ videos and I understand the progression in gear etc but one thing I am curious all of you say its proftiable along the way doing pilgrims.
Currently sitting on 1300m but with energypotspamming (5.4m in eu) i am close to zero profit for the amount of effort :(
most of the time I hear numbers from 100-200m profit an hour but it is not even close for me despite being only 2-3 brackets away from softcap.
I don't know but it feels really underperforming and just upgrading one manos acc from duo to tri looks like a process of 3weeks gathering 2-3hours a day
it takes a bit of time, I think it starts to be profitable at around 1300 mastery, below that you should still make around 60m per h depending on lifeskill. But the more pots you use, the less profitable it gets. I just wait when my energy is full )400+) and use 2-4 pots and the red battlefield energy refresh. Nowadays I dont do lifeskilling anymore though
@@Chris3s thx for the answer but from just ranking up gathering I am not convinced that only the 2-3brackets for reaching softcap will up the money to 150-200mil an hour . Feels like those values are just bait data
@@retardomagnifico6701 I can only speak from my experience, gathering deer meat at Behr gives me around 10k meat per hour and add to that all the shards and caphras and you're atleast at 150m at 1350 mastery

Swapping from Cooking to gathering Pilgrims is impossible without spamming energy pots and/or having Kama Blessing up, right? Would you consider buying the pots from the Marketplace to be worth it? They're sitting at an all time high of 5.4m each in EU right now. Thanks for the guides!
what are you talking about? Cooking doesn't need energy?
@@imPansy I meant when you use up all your energy gathering Pilgrims you then recommend cooking until you can gather again. It would take many hours to get all that energy back without spamming pots or without having a Kama Blessing. So would buying Energy pots from MP be worth it?
@@TheBloodyKiller1996 not really worth it, kama is good if you have some lying around (i have like 3+ months worth of kama still lying around.) Just do something else, unless you want to nolife BDO
@@TheBloodyKiller1996 You can rest on a bed and sleep. You will recover 1 energy per minute
Just a tip, for NEW PLAYERS, ir you want to start in lifeskill, you guys will going to need energy. Do the ecology at least 250 Energy to start. When your energy over go to more ecology to gather more maximum Energy.
Over here on console, soft cap with Loggia feels about like 1100 Mastery, Cooking, 1200 Gathering.

Why people say 1400 mastery is the soft cap for gathering ?
Soft Cap for Life skills is Full TRI Manos Accessories, TET Cloths & Tools + Khan's Heart. After that, everything becomes exponentially more expensive to buy. That's why it's considered soft-cap
@@imPansy Oh oke I thought I will start to get 20 meat or something. For ex. 1250 you will start to get 16 meat
BEen playing for 2 months now, like 3 B on Tet Loggia accessories, Manos Gathering clothes, and Tet Manos Hoe...Please tell me I did not waste my money lmao...
but why should i use loggia gear if i only use magic tools and then go for manos if i am at the cap ?
You dont only use magic tools, you use magic tools until you can hit 650+ mastery including a mastery tool.

Im already cooking G5 with around 850 mastery...there is no recipe which is profitable under like 1200+ mastery...so cooking is completely pointless...only selling da boxes
If your planning on only gathering and not cooking etc go for it its good silver, what hes putforth here is more of a longterm plan to get you fully up and running as a life skiller.
If you cook to make profit as in gathering all day and cooking outside of the imperial boxes, why are you even playing bdo imo.
TET Geranoa Belt and Necklace are a good cheaper alternative to TRI Manos with just 5 less mastery

You can always skip behr and go straight to pilgrim's, it will take longer to hit master 1 but you'll make silver along the way instead of losing it.
