Thanks for video . Great demo. Just been online and bought one ,can’t wait . Thanks again John k
Very good tool to have
just modded the vice on mine czcams.com/video/_UQZgW-DZ9w/video.html
Hi. I have the same saw. Made two mods; vertical mount so it works like a normal band saw and a new table to go with it. The vertical mount does not require any tools for mounting. Also likes this saw, a bargain deal! Thanks for your review!
Thanks very much, have a good day
Here i modded the vice on mine czcams.com/video/_UQZgW-DZ9w/video.html
Hi thanks for the fast response I have ordered one blade only from misterbandsaw and will see what it's like when it arrives hopefully it's as good as standard blade once again thank for your help in this matter best regards Shaun
let me know how it goes quality of blade would be helpful thanks
Happy New Year Everybody, Please Comment And Thumbs Up Cheers.
Good vid. Nice use of space in ur shop.
Thanks! have a good day
cut two pieces and then switch them around to line them up on a flat surface. thats your ultimate square test.
that will come in handy for a lot of projects,,
Thanks my friend, Nice to here from you happy new year to you and your family all the best.
great video !!!
thanks Irina have a good day.
Don’t you need to break in the blade before you using the saw?
i have the same in Sheppach brand ., good machine but the vise need to modify.
That's a great piece of kit. How long would the Blade last f you were cutting 25mm carbon steel bar? All the best Patrick.
Hi Patrick nice to here from you happy new year.
Well its hard to say, but if your easy on it don't put to much pressure on the blade, don't run the blade to fast that will help increase the blades life use some lube they last a while.
i guess this wont cut 50mm square tube at 45°? :/
I WANNA WORKSHOP LIKE YOURS!!! Stamping feet. Then I can have things like this awesome machine. It is a great piece of kit my very good friend. I am looking forward to your review of it. My very best wishes and a Happy New Year to you, Carol and James. Off to second channel to give you another like.
Thanks Raymond hopefully you'll have some luck this year and get something sorted Its only 10ft x 12ft.
all the best my friend Happy new year.
Carol sends her love and best wishes for the new year.
@@JAYZWORKSHOP Permission is my big problem. From housing. Thank you Carol your awesome.
right i see, here as long as its under 2.4m high i can pretty much go as big as i like, not that i can afford it but it would be nice.
Could you not extend you currant tardis .
@@JAYZWORKSHOP I can. Sending email.
DIY TEK NUT ::reads that alternative DIY energy has a tardis:: immediately goes to check out his channel...
Good video. I've been on the fence about buying one of these. I have a 12" abrasive chop saw which does a great job, but it messes up my workshop with abrasive dust and requires the use of a dust mask. I may just go ahead and get one of these based on your review. Question - Have you considered adding a drip oiler to lubricate & extend the life of your blades?
a oiler would be good for when on stand but as i use more handheld it would be more of a pain.
Thanks for commenting, Have a good weekend.
I would not use oil on this saw because the drive wheels would not tolerate the oil and start breaking down the rubber on the drive wheel.
I have a Dewalt portable bandsaw I just need the stand. Do you know where I can get one. I want the one like yours.
no i don't it's not listed as a spare part. sorry i can't be of more help. Happy new year all the best.
Hi, how do stop the condensation in your metal shed please.
You get condensation when the is a temperature difference between the inside and outside.
You need good Air ventilation and if that does not work. insulation the shed roof. I did it with expanding spray foam insulation and polystyrene tiles
Aldi Australia better get these bad boys in soon 😂
How's it going mate. Quick question, how would this fare with a trigger lock so you could leave it cutting while doing something else?
cocospops yes you could do that but don’t leave unattended if the blade jams and comes off .
You now have 4 likes my friend. I STILL WANNA SHOP LIKE YOURS!!!
Thanks Raymond. your the best.
Whenever I use a porta band for larger cuts I shoot some wd40 or whatever lubricant or penetrating oil is handy onto the blade and the work.
Thanks. yes good idea will do. Happy new year all the best.
How are your drive wheels holding up using a water displacement solution WD40? WD 40 is not a lubricant.
@@TheFalconJetDriver “or whatever lubricant or penetrating oil is handy”
Hooked on phonics worked for me
Great video, I wonder how it will perform with a quality blade in it
Thanks. Well i was impressed how this cheap one performs, a quality blade will hold up better over time .
happy new year all the best.
@@JAYZWORKSHOPI agree, it did did work great. I think if I ever got my hands on 1 the blade would be more than capable of the limited usage it would get from me. Happy New Year to you to
Hi, good vid' Are they still available, and what price ?
Thanks. Hi it was 149.99 they still have stock at the moment website purchase only
Happy new year all the best.
Hi great video I looked at other reviews most were positive so I perched one it seems a great tool for the money. However look on Walter web site to find spare blade with no success so phone them with the supply number to be told they have no stock of spare blades and don't know when they will get any .so my question is do you know where I could obtain them .?? They give you a size for blades look at Axminster power tools but the smallest blade is to long . Yours in anticipation regards Shaun
Thanks.
the blade that comes with it is very good
I did buy some Milwaukee blades but could not recommend buying the quality is worse than the one you get with the saw.
German quality blades 3 pack i have not tried them amzn.to/2AAmHDZ
Uk made blades i have not tried them

This machine seems really good, there is more speed on it ?
Excellent demonstration and great explanations !!
Hi my friend thanks, I was only using the low speeds 1-3 it goes up to 6 .
Happy new year to you all the best.
Thanks for the information , happy new year for you and your family 😊👍@@JAYZWORKSHOP
How much cost
Try to get me to 50 comments 50 thumbs up Cheers.
Can you cut mitred joints with this saw attached to the base? Thanks
Yes 0 - 45 degrees
@@JAYZWORKSHOP cheers
Here i modded the vice on mine czcams.com/video/_UQZgW-DZ9w/video.html
I have the same saw from Scheppach. It´s probably made in the same shed in china only different label. Nice video though.
Kasper Hauser yeah it says part available from scheppach in the manual. Thanks for commenting have a wonderful day
Can buy in America
Hi. Have you bought any replacement blades yet? Are they readily available? Many thanks.
yes they are easy to get hold of have been using these ones amzn.to/2NkmHO8 and before i used this amzn.to/2WpiOM1 they seem better lasted longer .
DIY TEK NUT Thanks a million.
@@pyrodoll2422 no problem your welcome
Hi I have just received bandsaw blade hear are my thoughts. Order blade on the 7/1/19 received on. 16/1/19 nine days
Was well packaged and received undamaged fitted saw perfectly have cut 66mm diameter solid aluminium bar with it took about 2_3 minutes running on slowest speed very good finish on cut . Blade as best as I can tell is exactly same as factory fitted made from M/42 material 10/14 tpi . Ordered on eBay from Mr bandsaw .
Would I buy again YES will order two more in near future so I have spares.
As a foot note manufacturers of saw now have blades in stock were kind enough to phone me blades are slightly cheaper but postage is almost cost of blade best regards Shaun 😀
Thanks for getting back to me, That's great glad you had more luck, than me with the Milwaukee blades, the join were they weld them its not even lined up so every time the blade passes that section it makes a clicking noise. where is the original blade looks like its seamless at least i know now.
All the best have a good day Happy cutting.
Here i modded the vice on mine czcams.com/video/_UQZgW-DZ9w/video.html
Can you post the part number for the stand please?
Jonathan - that stand is pure junk. You could make a better one over the course of a weekend. Avoid.
Good review but would have liked to have seen a series of 45° mitre cuts on box section.. I'd like to make some gates and accuracy would be an issue.
Enjoyed the vid though
Well then John why don't you buy one , run your tests and put them up on yt .
How long did it take to cut the 25mm solid bar?
it will cut it in less than a 1 minute .
@@JAYZWORKSHOP fab, thanks!
can it cut 5mm stainless tube?
well mine does just use the rite type of blade for what your cutting.
I want your neighbors ,lol.
Their worse than me for making noise , but i don't care were all good friends .
Just got the Schepach from Aldi and it looks identical. No manual with mine, do you have a blade size?
Great review by the way 😁👍🏻
Edit: How's it beating up after 2 years?
It’s 1140mm blade yeah same saw just rebadged . Still going strong one of my favourite tools , keep thinking about buying another.
Thanks all the best have fun.
@@JAYZWORKSHOP Many thanks
The whole point of the stand is to let it cut. Not baby it.
I have one of these, and while I agree that the tool itself is OK (once you get a nice blade for it), that base is pure garbage. If you're thinking of getting one, be ready to upgrade or replace at least the clamping unit (and probably the whole base) immediately.
Happy new year . I've gone through 3 of these Aldi band saws . They don't cut in a straight line and the vice clamp is poor . Shame
oh that's a shame mine seems to cut perfectly square.
Happy new year all the best.
that can be caused by cutting to fast and using to much pressure on the blade.
The machine is amazing. The vise is terrible though. Have to use a clamp which is fiddly. But cool machine.
@@leecardiel283 yes the vice is poor. i modded mine changed the round bar friction vice out for threaded rod couple of nuts handle. and made it into screw vice. better
@@JAYZWORKSHOP what a great idea. I will have to have a think about how to do that as I'm not great at the Fabrication yet.
You instaled wrong the bandsaw on the stand. It gas to pull the material not to push it.
emil pelin if I install other way the teeth would not be cutting the blade is cutting towards the material .
@@JAYZWORKSHOP you missunderstood me- min 2:13- the teeth cut toward that plate=ok. Min 7:36- you can clearly see how the blade pushes the material to cut. It's an engineering error. It should be locked to the stand from the other side of the bandsaw.
The Milwaukee stand is setup the same, but i do see what you mean. The stand or saw has no provision to mount it the other way. you could switch the vice direction. with some modification
good vid what speed saw set at ?when cutting ted
Thanks. hard steel like speed 1-3 soft materials speed 3-6. have a good day all the best.
so a project that takes 45min with a dropsaw it will take you only 4 days with this saw
