Do these engine kits from Amazon and ebay usually come with step by step directions? Anyone know?

My dad gave me a bike with one of these. Its an old Schwinn stringray that looks like a chopper and is the size for a kid maybe around 12. Whoever put the kit on did an awful job. The engine is crooked, muffler blocks the pedals (lol) and not enough room for the air filter to fit fully onto the carb. Its also missing the lever mechanism that tensions the drive chain (forget the name) so i figure ill buy another kit and use the spare's for parts. Im gonna fix it up and find a kid to give it to who will have fun on it. All the fun for me is in fixing it up. Thanks for the video.

I get how to attach the chain guard at the top where the screw is long ! But you didn't show how to attach the chain guard at the bottom by the sprocket ?

The one and only random screw that I have left over in the bag of nuts , washers , and lock washers is too big , so it won't fit in the screw hole where your tightening the clutch cable ?

Had one of these for about ten years now. The only issue I had was the recoil spring in the top which was fixed easily. Otherwise it's been great. Just remember to run it out of fuel before storing 👍

25 miles is 40 km in Canada. Amazing distance. I just received an ebike with 10.6 Ah 36v battery. Ill be thrilled to even get 30 km. How you pedaled all that way previously is beyond me. Especially with headwinds. Well done and that 11 minutes mark pony footage was cute. Have a good one mate!

I hv same bike in Africa but my chain is so tight, I can turn it freely to start.any help.

My kit came with a bunch of different coloured wires that all had different connections on them. So even once you figured out which wires went where you still couldnt connect them?

If you take a bit of steel wool to the case back, that will soften the engraving, I had to do the same with my steeldive. Also gives the Matte finish a less satin look.
