    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The new gasoline Mild Hybrid engine, which builds on the heritage of the famous Fire engine, more than 30 million of them were produced, implements a 1-liter, 3-cylinder engine configuration with peak power output of 70 hp (51,5 kW) at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 92 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The cylinder head has two valves per cylinder and a single camshaft with continuous variable valve timing (the timing is chain-driven). The structure includes a compact combustion chamber, high-tumble intake ducts and external EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), providing a remarkably high compression ratio (12:1), which translates into better thermal efficiency. The crankcase, developed in collaboration with Teksid, is made of high-pressure die-cast aluminum alloy with cast-iron cylinder liners, to reduce startup times and contain the weight of the engine to just 77 kg. Additionally, friction is reduced using a crank mechanism with a bore/stroke ratio of 1.24 and a connecting rod/crank device with a 10 mm offset to maximize efficiency.
The BSG system is mounted directly on the engine and is operated by the belt that also drives the auxiliaries. The system recovers energy during braking and deceleration, stores it in a lithium battery with a capacity of 11 Ah, and uses it, at a peak power of 3,6 kW, to restart the engine in Stop&Start mode and to assist it during acceleration.
    Fiat's mild hybrid technology
The drive of the Fiat 500 Hybrid and Fiat Panda Hybrid is constructed identically. A three-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine is used as the combustion engine, generating 51 kW (70 hp) from a displacement of one liter. It is combined with a belt starter generator (RSG), which is connected to the crankshaft via a belt system and, depending on the situation, either supports the combustion engine or works as a power generator.
When rolling with an engaged gear, the RSG generates electrical energy through recuperation, with which the conventional 12-volt on-board battery and an additional lithium-ion battery (12 volts, 11 Ah) are charged. It is mounted under the driver's seat on the Fiat 500 Hybrid and behind the rear seat bench on the Fiat Panda Hybrid. If the brake pedal is also pressed, the power consumption of the belt starter generator is increased, so it supports the mechanical brake imperceptibly for the driver. Energy is also recuperated here.
When starting from a standstill and when accelerating, the belt starter generator supports the gasoline engine with additional power and torque. The system draws the energy required for this from the lithium-ion battery. In the Fiat 500 Hybrid, an animation in the central instrument cluster provides information about the flow of energy between the belt starter generator and the battery. A second graphic shows the relationship between charging and power consumption.
The mild hybrid technology reduces fuel consumption and thus emissions without the need to charge from external power sources. The standard consumption of the Fiat 500 Hybrid and Fiat Panda Hybrid is only 4.1 liters per 100 kilometers, corresponding to CO 2 emissions of just 93 grams per kilometer. Both mild hybrid models meet the Euro 6d emission class. The belt starter generator has the additional advantage that when the engine is started when the vehicle is stationary, it works faster and with significantly less vibration than a conventional starter.
Mild hybrid versions of Fiat 500 and Fiat Panda combine 51 kW (70 hp) three-cylinder petrol engines with a belt starter generator. Fuel consumption drops to an average of 4.1 liters per 100 kilometers in both models. Particularly well-equipped “Launch Edition” models from Fiat 500 Hybrid and Fiat Panda Hybrid also make a contribution to environmental protection with seat covers made from SEAQUAL ® YARN recycled material . Presentation of the new models via digital press conference, which can be seen here .

Can you tell what's your height if you don't mind? It would be easier to understand interior comfort. Thank you :)

Big opening of doors is at the same time good and bad... Especially in underground parkings. Dangerous for the boot painting especially when you know how bad is the painting quality of Fiat.
The interior is nice but the club finition is a way better with beautiful ivory leather seats (like on the Dolcevita) from Poltrona Frau 🥰🥰🥰🥰. It makes forget the hard plastic. It's more expensive but they are the versions to choose.
