  • This is a project from two students at the University for the Creative Arts at Canterbury studying PG Dip Architecture (5th year).
This project looks at Peacehaven, East Sussex. The town, based on a grid with plotlands for individuals to build how they wished, was originally designed as holiday town for Londoners as well as a retreat for WW1 soldiers, yet nowadays it is a commuter town that relies on larger settlements. Inhabitants accept they trade sacrifices in convinience for the beauty of a coastal setting. The film documents travel, community, employment and services. Has the original town plan worked or has it failed?
Equiptment: HD videocamera, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. Made in 2012.
