Around 2015 or 2016 I spent a night looking for ghosts at Preston Manor and myself and a friend witnessed something strange in the Blue Room... we were stood facing the bookcase with the old cupboard to the right, I don't know if the clock was on the wall when I was there. Stood opposite us was two members of staff who didn't actually see what we saw, which was a flash of blue light illuminate the corner of the room, only for a brief second, almost like a spark of electricity. I looked to me left both at my friend and also to see if carlights could shine from any road beyond the window, my mate looked to the right, both at me and to see if the door was closed (it was), couldn't find a source for it and couldn't replicate it, the way it shone it was beyond the bookcase and shone upwards from the floor between the bookcase and cupboard door.
Exceptional Haunted Homes - Preston Manor 9.3.22 0837AM it allus astounds me that you folk get to stay at these excellent historical homesteads all in the name of hunting the dead. i dont believe a bit of it - as, let's face it, you can seem to get away with all manor (lol) of nonsense all in the name of researching the alleged ghosts of this that or other locales of the UK... anyone gonna invite me to stay at their haunted pub or stately home all in the name, perhaps, of getting a decent night's kip or seeing a decent visitation..? absolute pants, to put it mildly. and you folk concoct all manner of ruses in the name of getting a freebie in an excellent gaff of a night (ie: feigning to hunt active spirits...) when in point of fact the only spirits you would be actively dealing with would be those spirits passing out of an optic behind the bar... ah!!!! tch!!!! p.s all manner of abuses concocted in the name of paranormal research, i feel...

About 12 years ago,my wife 2 of our sons and I were in the front room,when a book flopped to the floor from the bookcase. Amused I picked it up and said,that’s spooky it’s The turn of the Screw a ghost story by Henry James and my wife replied that is spooky my fathers first 2 names were Henry James!
I own a big country house & trust me, you don't want to own one, they're exhausting (unless you have a big staff), sometimes I can barely walk at the end of the day. You lose things all the time & if you leave something you want at the other end of the house, you can't even be bothered to go & fetch it due to the long walk; then don't even start on the cold ;-).
my friend visited Preston Manor in the 80's she said when she and her family were walking around on the ground floor they heard what sounded like large items of furniture being moved around upstairs they went upstairs a few minutes later the room where the noise would have come from was empty with no evidence of workmen or any furniture having been moved
I wonder why no cameras were put in that room where things move around by themselves. Also if hair pins just appear out of nowhere, why not open a shop to sell them seeing as you have a free unlimited supply?

Im gratfull to Alice. We were out 0f there so quick Alice got my family on the housing ladder Thanks Alice. All happend early 60s

I HAVE BEEN THINKING THEY SEEMED TO HAVE CAME TO ME TO VISIT OR TO TAKE ME WITH THEM AS I HAVE A LOT OF PAIN AND ILLNESS. WHAT DO ANY OF YOU THINK? I ALSO HAVE BEEN PICKING UP NICE PERFUME SMELLS TO THAT I MAY NOT HAVE OPENED OR IN A DRAW FOR MANY YEARS.
Be more weary of alive humans than spirits that have left their bodies.. For sure spirits are there, but I'd rather go experience the phenomena myself. Theres nothing that's what I'd say theres no darker entities there..
