- My personal guided tour of the Regency Town House in Brunswick Square in Hove, East Sussex by Paul Couchman, one of the volunteers dedicated to renovating the Georgian terraced house, continues in part two.
We look at the basement of Number 10, the kitchen and the working courtyard and well!

Your Lovely film has wanted me to visit the Regency House again and I have signed up for their newsletters via your link. I have attended one of Paul Couchmans talks all about Regency puddings. His enthusiasm and love for the house and Regency food is contagious! 👨🍳👍
Really loved this programme especially~ Really fascinating, and Paul such a lovely man . I love his enthusiasm and obvious love for the house, and history .
There's something special about you Paul! You are a lovely heart based being radiating joy of purpose and you fit into Richards work so well. Thank you both for these calming engaging starts to the morning in front of my woodstove.
Very fascinating . Thank you so much.
I was a cook in an 1840’s historic house. Everyone should get a chance to learn that, fired and potager are as easy as a modern kitchen but really good to know in a disaster( spoken from experience)
Fascinating, many thanks, as always.
Keep up the good work!
You have to admire those that put the dedication and effort into bringing this town house back to life again after years of neglect. Imagine living in somewhere like that, amazing I would say. I have always felt, even from childhood that people leave something of themselves in wherever they live, I have always 'felt' that. Great job by all concerned, protecting heritage and history.
😊 How marvellous this is! Such a huge project, a labour of love.
Amazing. I lived in Hove all my childhood life, and had a friend who lived in the square. Beautiful properties
I live in a house in New England built in 1790. It was originally a sea captain’s house. Over they past 230 years the house has had many owners who have “modernized” the place, but even today you find parts of the house that go back to the original house. I really like the warming oven in what must have been the original kitchen.
I have only just discovered these two programmes and they are absolutely fantastic, so interesting and Paul is a wonderful guide. So generous with his info and presented it in such a natural, engaging way. Richard - you were captivated by the house, and your enthusiasm is really coming over. I am so pleased to have found these episodes, thanks for doing them.
Here we go 👏🏻 waist high in pigeon 💩 u have ur work cut out, all in the detail, massive, love courtyard & well, slow progression changes.
Well done to all involved! Great project and such care.
Love this so much. Been past there so many times and didn't appreciate the rich history! Thank you xx
So interesting! Love the courtyard with the well. And fantastic job with the kitchen skylight and the sitting room fireplace. Well done!
I will keeping an eye out for dining dates!

Were there any follow up videos to this property? I'd love to see them.
