The discipline of the dogs were admirable, but the discipline of the stunt team to make sure it was a 100% accident free scene was great to watch.
that's because they chose to use pitbulls instead of smarter dog breed like german shepherd or belgian malinois. pitbulls are notoriously famous for easily distracted and harder to train and have a bigger bite force than other breed. i bet if they chose to use german shepherd or belgian malinois they 100% didn't need to do that extensive exercise BS
kinda adorably to see the dog just chilling getting its makeup done
@@Dxco31 German Shepherds have the same bite force as a Pit Bull. About 230 psi for both. Also Pits are no less trainable then other similar sized breeds. The "excessive excercise BS" is standard animal actor training, done with all on screen animals. You should leave your misinformed dog prejudice at the door.
@@MisterChelonian thank you for this comment
@@MisterChelonian calling pit bulls as trainable as shepherds is pretty wild.
They certainly are trainable for sure, but different breeds are definitely differently trainable and dogs like shepherds are near the top of that list. Pit bulls are not.
Don't assume every comment about pit bulls is hating on the breed or misinformed.
PS: pretty damn sure they would have used the same safety procedures with shepherds tho in any case.
Amy having the "Co-Host" title makes me happy.
I’m glad they made it official for Amy and Gui for their episodes
She's my favorite.
@@hostile_prof hell ya
Who’s even that one ?
Super cool!
Im sure everyone is waiting for an episode hosted by Gui and Amy. They are basically your couch doubles. Please make it happen.
Have Amy and Gui worked on a movie together? I would love to know!
Nah, Gui yeah but I don't have the faintest idea who Amy is. So yeah, no not everyone. A lot of SJW-ish comments about it though so, a lot of virtue signallers do.
@@oduinn7948 i mean didnt she dot a bunch of marvel and DC movie stunts and mocap? I think shes a pretty big deal
@@jedironin380 They were both in winter soldier
@@LocalEClown I wouldn't know but I'm not exactly talking about professional experience here, more-so about presence and personality. Even here she didn't really say or add much, the majority of the time she contributed was a laugh or a reaction where as Gui always seems to ask leading questions or bring up situations in past experience that leads the guest to add on with a deeper explanation. Every time she's there she feels more like a guest or "side-kick" herself as opposed to co-host.
Everything Everywhere All At Once deserves to be on both VFX and Stunt reacts. The VFX was done by a very small team and is still quite impressive. The stunt team found their start on CZcams and killed it (and of course Michelle Yeoh is amazing)
That stunt team are youtubers, I'd imagine they're aware of this series. Would be awesome to see, maybe after the awards season is over.
Yh i read it was 5 guys in their bedrooms doing all the VFX on Adobe After Effects during lockdown lol crazy good FX if thats true
that final action scene of Once upon a time was such a surreal experience in the cinema. the entire audience going into uncontrolled laughter for something so macabre was one of the best silliest experiences i've had
laughter? the fuck?
@@KajiinSkyrim You have to understand the context.
Those characters are in fact depicting real people. The entire bloody action scene is a "what-if" recreation of Helter Skelter, a famous murder scene where a bunch of crazies from Charles Manson's camp went and killed some innocent people in LA in a VERY grisly scene.
These people are very much not good people, so seeing them get completely blindsided by a cartoonishly-capable movie guy was pretty funny and cathartic.
@@KajiinSkyrim ? Him banging her face into the phone and making it ring sent the entire audience in my cinema into insane laughter, to this day Its the movie I always come back to and rewatch the movie just for that final scene
Quentin pulled the same at the end of Hateful 8! 😆
@@KajiinSkyrim This scene is hilarious why would you not laugh
15:22 - That rehearsal shot is actually amazing. I don't think it would have made the movie much better, but she is right to be angry with the final scene in the movie.
15:22 but yes it looks so fluid :)
I find it infuriating that the director, the cinematographer and the editor are so fucking bad that they actively sabotage such great stuntwork with subpar shot design and bad editing.
This is why stunt-choreographers need to have authority over the cinematography and the editing when it comes to action scenes.
Same with some of the marvel movies here.
Why even do the stunts for real when you don’t make them look real in the end ?
Have the dog come on to explain his stunts. It would be interesting to hear his perspective on the scene.
Might be a bit ruff understanding him.
Woof woof woof
Stunt doggo react to stunts!
@@vaishnavradhakrishnan8608 April 1 video
"This was actually me here in John Wick 3. I had to wear a wig!"
Kimberly is one of the few people in the world who can put "experienced with Dog fighting" on their resume and it not be a red flag.
That dog fight stuff is super interesting. I knew it takes a long time with the doggos to accumulate the workings of a scene, and to get to know the performers, but it was nice to hear about the steps.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is actually such an awesome love letter to stunt performers, also just a fantastic film with amazing performances
Quentin loves stunt work, he straight up cast a stunt woman in large roles in a couple of his movies.
Hate to say I think the last 15 minutes is the only best part of that movie...the rest was BS (Roman Polanski nasty ass didnt have to be in the film...& no Samuel L. Jackson or any black people...lowkey racist i.m.o.)
@@i.r.3231 did you want him to add a black member to the Manson Family? Are you off your swede?
@@i.r.3231 It was the 60's so yeah they were raccist
it was pretty mid as tarantino movies go
These ladies are an inspiration. It's amazing how many movies I've seen but never knew who did the stunts. I'm glad Corridor is giving them a platform to promote their work.
I like how Amy asks questions, the questions are very friendly to people like me who have very little idea about stuntwork (despite the number of these reactions videos I've seen), like what has changed in the 18 years Kimberly has been working. I also appreciate how Niko just allows the guest and the co-host talk about the stunt work. He isn't insecure that be feels the need to weigh in his opinion all the time. When he does talk, he leans on his expertise which is direction and camerawork to bring that perspective in in case it wasn't mentioned.
The dog training was interesting! Would be great to see more stunts with dogs, maybe getting one of the trainers on the show
An "Animal Trainers React" episode would be great.
John Wick 3 had some Belgian Malinois action to take clips from recent movies !
@@MaXtreme91 man was just thinking of this scene. But i think one would also need Halle Berry for that reaction. As i understand she worked a lot with the dogs as well.
It's always nice to see stunts with animals. But I have a feeling the crew does have some time playing with them before and after shooting
Agree! That would be awesome. 'Stunt' animals are such a presence in so many movies, and are becoming more of a staple in action movies. It would be so cool if the Corridor Crew could get some animal trainers on the couch.
Something I guarantee you haven't seen but is excellent. The Intro to the classic skateboard movie, Fully Flared. It's an ambitious and big-budget (for a skate film) intro with real explosions and skateboard stunt work, directed by Spike Jonze. There's some great behind-the-scenes footy that really captures how unhinged and guerilla the shoot was as well.
I second this
Yes, would love to see their reaction.
Sounds like the epitome of a Spike Jonze work lol - definitely going to check this out now...
Amazing professional and her curriculum is incredible, probably the best in the business. But boy oh boy.... this voice is entering my soul!
I muted it and watched it with auto subtitles...
Both are amazing. Kimberly did some gnarly stuff in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It was kind of a shock the first time. Everyone was gasping and laughing. It was a memorable experience for sure.
Glad to hear the actresses are stepping up to keep you as safe as possible. We watch movies for entertainment and not barbaric gladiator ring gore. Stay safe
Blues brothers has some great stunts, also the spirit of St. Louis movie has some crazy old school stuff
What a great idea getting the experts to Co host. Amy is fantastic, so is Gui when he hosts, they really know what interesting questions to ask and have insight that Niko can't necessarily add. It really takes the show up a notch
The fact that stunt performers don't get more recognition really drives me crazy. These people deserve ALL the praise.
It's awesome to hear actors are looking out for their doubles.
I love how at 10:55 , when she says "scopioned" they both cringe just imagining how gruesome that might've looked.
Really appreciate your bringing in stunt people, they are really hard working and overlooked by the industry. They are such integral part of modern movies (especially the very popular comic book stuff). Thank you.
11:00 - Love that! Like Amy said: gotta respect the stuntpeople.
15:04 - Poor Kimberly. They did her dirty. The behind the scenes clip looks _amazing!_
The end of Once upon a Time was shockingly violent. Absolutely bad ass stunts performed by complete professionals!
There should be an Oscar for Stunts. They have been a part of movies sense silent films.
Yes, Stunts and action choreography in general needs an Oscar category (each).
There is a known reason why there isn’t, it’s just because if they did it, they’d be worried stuntmen and women would be more and more inclined to do dangerous/life threatening stunts to get the Oscar, it’s a safety concern
@@Patrick-uu6ev that's not valid tho. Stunts wouldn't exist without a story to serve anyway.
Since the passing of Jason David Frank, I ended up going down a rabbit hole of action stunts the Power Rangers did. Would be interesting to see the stuntpeople react to some of the stunts the Rangers did, especially when not suited up. They packed a lot of stunts in those 23 minute episodes.
Early guests becoming co-hosts is just amazing, shows that this show is loved by both professional filmmakers as well as enthusiasts
That teaser for the short!!! Also, this lady is a legend. Tough AF
That Once Upon a Time in Hollywood scene is nuts. We need a StuntDogs React video!
An old classic I discovered recently is The Mask of Zorro, which I don't believe you guys have reacted to yet.
It's got a few stunts, some swordfights, and also a couple of explosions. I'd love to see what you guys think of it!
I remember seeing that in theaters when it was new. Now it's an old classic 😭 time flies
Goddam this series just gets better and better. Love having Amy host, love hearing Kimberly's insights, and I *love* how Niko often just sits there exuding an attitude of "this is the Coolest Thing Evar, I'm'a just sit here and listen to these amazing women geek out to each other about their amazing jobs" :)
I always enjoy the stuntperson reacts the best, and the ones with the women tend to be the most illuminating. Amy and Kim are both awesome! Thanks as always.
Is there a stunt category in award shows? These guys deserve way more praise.
Not by the academy, etc. But they have their own award show - Taurus World Stunt Awards
If there's anything I've learned from these videos, is that great stunts are often ruined by CG or terrible editing. Thanks for showcasing the amazing work these people are doing! As for suggestions on movies (and since this is a stuntwomen react video), how about something from The Night Comes For Us? It has some fantastic fight scenes with Julie Estelle.
I recently watched the movie "Accident Man". When I saw the sword-wielding assassin named Jane I thought "Hey, that's Amy! I've seen her on Stuntwomen React". She had some great scenes.
Ha, I just watched that movie, too... and had a similar reaction.
OMG this just knarly. Wow just impressive and dangerous at the same time. The Stunt performers are the back bone to the film industry and in my opinion deserve every award.
They’re the backbone of the action genre, for sure, but not the entire industry as a whole.
Gnarly*
I was about to say the same thing as the guy above me. Gnarly is actually spelled with a "G", my dude.
r/boneappletea
Post production, music, costume/prop, people behind the scenes are the foundations in making a good film
Any of the stunts from Everything Everywhere All At Once would be cool but specifically, I would like to see a combined stunt and VFX breakdown of the shot where Jobu rolls down the stairs and is in a different outfit on each step.
Michelle Yeoh as a guest would be insane. 😳 This could possibly happen
YOOOOO. There could be an entire EPISODE just based on that movie.
Really loved hearing about the experience working with the dogs and how actors being conscious of what their double goes through so they could wear something that could be padded. Honestly I'd love to see more about working with animals in movies/shows.
I can’t believe she did those Once Upon a Time In Hollywood stunts with her head. That was bonkers, big ups to her, holy crap.
After seeing the Once upon a time in Hollywood segment. I need a Stunt Animal react asap!
Niko: "Today we have have Rover, and we're are going to look at some pretty crazy stunts"
Rover: "Woof!"
look forward to this show every week. Amy Johnston and Kimberly Shannon Murphy are great! Hope they come and talk stunts some more!
Once Upon a time in Hollywood is one of my favorite movies of the last decade. Thank you for such insight!
Amy, it's always a delight to see you!
It's great how they've had 2 guests on some of the recent episodes. The scene breakdowns are awesome but I really liked the insight from the questions at the end about how stunts changed over the years.
What a legend, thank you for highlighting and explaining your craft. Inspirational. Oh and corridor, you’re cool too.
The bus fight scene in the movie Nobody is great. He goes through a window and stuff
I think it would be so badass to make a movie about stuntmen and women, these people definitely need way more recognition of what they do.
Thank you so much for these stuntwomen react videos! Amy is one of my favorites, as is Lauren. I never would have known about them if it wasn't for you!
These are some of my favorites. These ladies are the coolest.
Love the stuntman/woman videos! Thanks a lot! Also, thanks for the content warning. I often watch the stunt videos with my son, who is still very young, but he loves stunts and is always trying to show off with his own stunts to his friends and especially his little cousins. Showing him how the professionals do it is awesome, and how grown ups do this for their jobs, and how they stay safe, and look amazing. Thanks!
Great episode as usual! Amy is a good host, as well as a great stuntwoman! Her experience helps her ask better questions.
This is why there should be a prime time Oscar for stunts. If not several. The prep is amazing.
Niko is my favourite stuntwoman!
Yay!!
Best part of Saturday.
Jesus, the entire process of that ending scene in "Once Upon A Time.." is absolutely insane. These are the people who are like the last ones standing when it comes to filmmaking. 👊🏻
Once upon a time in hollywood is one of the best films to date. everything is executed so well in it that you don't even think about the work behind it when you watch it. It's pure enjoyment.
It's worth checking out more of the Lethal Weapon movies for Stuntmen react. I feel like there is at least one crazy stunt per movie, the 4th one has Riggs riding a table down the highway, lol
Also, Season 2 Episode 7 of the Chucky tv series has a really awesome head exploding scene, something I'd expect to see in a big movie.
Finally, the What We do in the Shadows TV series has both good and bad effects that I think are worth checking out, felt they were overall surprisly good for a comedy series though.
Yeah, come to think of it, why we haven't we seen much from the Lethal Weapon series yet? I think they did the airbag fall with Riggs & the suicidal guy from the first film, but that's about it as far as I can remember.
I love these episodes! What we really NEED to see is stuntMEN in heels, tank tops, and booty shorts trying some of the stunts these stuntwomen do.
YES I want to see Gui do this!
Errr no
Always love seeing Amy and Kimberly talking about women stunts in movies! These stunts go a long way too make these movies really good!
Hope to see more from them!
I'm glad you brought Kimberly back. I really enjoy listening to her explain her work. She seems so low key and chill about it all, but she is such a BAMF.
I'd love to see more stuntwomen reacting 🤟
I am pretty excited for the Rock Paper Scissors anime
Wow, it always amazes me how much more I learn with every video you guys release!
I am stoked for the anime short tomorrow!
Love these so much! Glad to have Amy and Kimberly back!
Yey Stunt women react is back
I'll be honest, them doing the head smashes practically kind of tracks with everything we've heard about Quentin and Brad. It's cool that she was apparently fine with it, but it's fucked up that it was even suggested.
it was all done safely and well. We had the best of the best and it was an honor to work with Quentin.
I’ve been missing Amy on this show!! Great to see you again❤❤
It's so great to see Amy back on the couch - love her co-hosting and work, of course!
I'm always a little in awe of her because she IS Black Widow.
There are some great reaction faces in here! There are a couple times where Niko's sympathetic/enthralled, Kimberly's explaining in a matter of fact way, and Amy's just horrified because she knows EXACTLY what Kimberly went through. Love it.
Welp, this is the episode that gets me to sign up for their website. I want to see the whole thing. Well damn done.
I love this stuff. Great work Corridor Crew and stuntwomen.
AMAZING episode! Love the presence Amy and Kim have!!!
*Y'all should do "Crossing the River" from "Cherry 2000" (1988). Pre-lip job, Melanie Griffith in a classic '65 Mustang, being badass.*
I love you guys at corridor! I wish there were more anime content like the attack on titan one!
Edit:they literally delivered!
The trainers and stunt team that worked with those dogs are amazing. I'm so happy to see ethical treatment of animals in film that also prioritizes the safety of the human actors and crew on set. I can't imagine the pressure of not only hitting your beats, but ensuring that you're interacting with the dogs exactly right each time to prevent the dogs from getting stressed or scared and accidentally injuring anyone or lashing out in fear.
Wow! This was very informative. Great job ladies. You guys are warriors!
If Nikki Glaser for some reason ever needs a stuntdouble they know who to call. Or a voice double, wow
Amy's co-host title makes my weekend a little bit brighter.
Good to hear women stars are speaking up and being protective of their doubles to get them more padding and protection! That's something I think about all the time watching action scenes now.
Was recently bit by a neighbor's dog (could have been much worse) and yeah, those jaws are POWERFUL. Huge respect for people who work with dogs like that for stunts. Would be curious to hear more about that behind the scenes stuff in the future.
Amazing episode! really great!
What kind of a vocal chord is this?
She's so cool, but by gawd that voice 😂
Please never stop doing this series! 🙏
I love how this channel not only has things about visual effects that are digital but has People like this on the show regularly. it's awesome to see these stunt actor side
Props to her accomplishments but the cadence of her voice is so grating.
It's called vocal fry and she's really overdoing it - apart from that, great episode, great people.
When I was a kid I enjoyed saturday morning cartoons, now I enjoy saturday morning stunt women
Amy, amazing job co-hosting! You go girl!
Very excited for this new video you guys have coming tomorrow!!!
Love these videos but damn the vocal fry was so annoying.
What a nice couch you guys got there _😳_
Yeyyy!! More stuntwomen react please! I love having Amy and Gui on the couch, it's so much fun how they all geek out with Niko (=
Yay! Amy as a regular co-host! I love the stuntwomen/men reacts series. So interesting every time!
Her voice is killing me 🥴
She sounds like a chainsaw on wood plank
Talking in fry-voice makes everything so intelligible.
This is my favorite series you guys do!
Yay! Amy's back! I love how our old guests that have become regulars are co-hosts now.
The middle girl's vocal fry is like nails on a chalk board.
She's awesome, that's insane.
But that voice....so grating. Maybe my fault for wearing ear buds. 360 degrees binaural LA voice right into my ear drums.
Somehow this morning I just randomly thought that I haven't seen Amy in a while. And then here she is!
She is amazing! Thanks for sharing all these amazing stories
