Flanger is honestly one of the best effects for me.

The flanging sound arises from doubling the signal and shifting the second one slightly in time in an oscillating manner which causes so called cone filtering. The larger the delay between the two signals the deeper the filtering/resonance sounds. The MANUAL knob basically shifts the second signal back or forth by a certain amount without oscillation which gives the effect of changing the frequency which the flanger flanges around as explained in the video.

A really interesting demo by someone who actually gets flangers! For the money this is a very fine unit. For a little more we can buy the Fender Hammertone, which is also excellent and quite different. And don't forget, judicious use of flanging works a treat on electro-acoustic guitars too.

4:10 : that's how I've used flangers ever since I bought my first one many years ago; like a comb filter.

Hi, is there anyway to modify the rate knob?
The speed changes kind of drastic at higher setting
While not much changes at low

That’s something I noticed on the BloodMoon Phaser, and Afterglow Chorus as well. A lot of change in the last 10% of the rate knobs

Is the background swoosh noise bearable? Thanks!

      you NEED a noise gate
don't buy this pedal if you don't have a noise gate
