Please note that the chance for a scatha to spawn is only 1/5 or 20% of all the worm spawns you'll get!
Also remember to mine towards the west or -x so the correct mole pattern applies. We get around 55-60 spawns per hour like this.
If you use bal for mining make sure to set a pet rule for your emf pet on enter combat or sorrow swap. Another pet rule for bal on gain mining xp or divan swap helps as well.
Also since a few ppl were asking about the THEORETICAL money/h:
460 emf = 1/45 for any pet, 10 scathas/h so 4.5 hours for (6*160 + 3*260 + 490)/10 = 223m + 22.5m passive money. = 245.5m/4.5 hours or 54.5555555556m/h
tldr: with 460emf u theoretically should get 55m/h~

Something I figured I would add as well. With the Hoppity's Hunt update (which was April 24th) Enderman Slayer 9 also now increases Scatha Spawn rates by 15%

Very well made and informative guide! I feel like it’s important to mention the scathas don’t have a 1/600 chance of spawning when mining hardstone, the worms do, and each worms has a 1/5 chance of being a scatha. Great video tho, good luck scathaers !

what are you meant to do when you get stuck on the glass panes
In the video you guys said Mole maxes out after ~5,287,000 Gemstone powder. However, the wiki claims it takes 6,277,493 Gemstone powder to max.
Is Mole still bugged to not have a marginal benefit after a certain level?

less efficient as etherwarping but okish if u dont have etherwarp
@@chessapple7891 you sure cause I deff break the same ammount of blocks or more from doing it compared to just going straight.
@@fastshark-wq5cw breaks more blocks but less blocks that are capable of spawning a scatha/worm which makes it a little less efficient - we also did tests that showed exactly that (we got less spawns when mining the ceiling vs etherwarp) + u cant mine the ceiling when wall mining :(

what if i have 250 ping? are my rates gonna be slower because ill be breaking blocks at a slower rate?
Ping does of course matter a bit but scatha farming is not as ping reliant as other things - I personally do get 60 spawns per hour with around 200 ms so you should be able to farm with pretty good rates aswell :)

Do daedalus axe/chimera/minos relic work for the Bal pet?
Minos relic only boosts pet stats, not perks - if u were to use a lucky clover the daed and chimera would multiply that 7mf but nothing more.

*might have read that wrong, if u get 3 spawns after the 30 secs that’s pretty normal, if u got 3 spawns in 30 secs I gotta tell u that that’s impossible
i got a spawn killed it directly went back to mining and got within 10 blocks another worm spawn and that again so it might have been longer then 30 sec in total but there werent 30 seconds between the spawns
The cooldown does 100% exist, and I have NEVER gotten a spawn faster than 30 secs after the previous spawn - the cooldown starts whenever the worm spawns, not when it gets killed, so you might’ve just killed it very slowly

You can use Mastiff and it's sword, although it isn't efficient, it's sufficient to get enough sorrow for the armor

Aatrox counts aswell. Farming ghost without aatrox around 250 mf, farking with aatrox kore than 300 mf so im pretty sure it works
Aatrox 100% doesn’t work for scatha drops, has been tested aswell

what is average money per hour?
It’s very hard to determine an average since scatha mining is extremely rng dependent - you can farm for months without making Bank to suddenly have half a bill in ur bank account - the average money with a decent setup would (THEORETICALLY!!) be prolly around 40-50m/h - with a good setup u can achieve a 1/40 chance for any pet, with 12 scatha spawns per hour that would mean a pet every ~3.5 hours and since the prices are extremely high rn it would make tons of money. However this is the average and there also are a lot of people who go onto 300+ dry streaks and don’t get any money in that time (aka only the passive money which is around 6m/h with a good setup).
Tldr; Very inconsistent MMM but has the potential to make very good money.

watched this whole guide, got a mediocre setup, went scatha mining for the first time and got a legendary scatha after 28 worms total (4 scathas) killed in 30 mins, bruh

idk what youre basing that looting doesnt work off.
minos relic doesnt give 33% stats it gives 33% of the pets stats.
superior is better than sorrow if you have 400emf without any armor equipped
also dont use anything other than dae axe, the price for the fishing rod is so high that u might aswell just buy a dae axe at that point, black cat at lvl100 gives the same emf as gdrag at lvl 200 with 1b gold collection
Looting not working is based on the stats of every single top scatha farmer matching the stats for pet drops without looting, we said +33% emf and that’s correct for the pets we mentioned, we also said that gdrag with 1b gold collection is the same as black cat but it’s only better with 1b gold and clover helmet. Superior isn’t better at 400 emf, u forgot the renowned bonus onto the 20 mf sorrow gives which makes it 416 emf (calculation can be found in the video). The price for a legendary fishing rod is quite literally a million coins if u buy a shredder so idk where u got that from, lucky fishing rod is a great budget weapon for emf
