Respect for the king, who had a real cancer and he is back outside, but the Middlenton woman is surely living it up in luxury, with the best of the best. She has been directed and organised by her mother all along. People should mind their own business IMO. Princess Catherine has a unique public role and has three young children to consider too. She will also wish to get back to top fitness before returning to the public eye so that she can look her best. Imagine all the world waiting for you to come back in front of those cameras, it would scare me to death. All the media cameras zooming up close, and various comments by hundreds of different presenters making comments about how she looks and seems. Poor Catherine, I don't envy her. All I wish is for her to take time, and wait for the medical experts own guidance on when she's fully fit to take on her exacting role. I cannot wait to see her but want her 100% fit.
if only it were true. Her role isn´t exactly exacting, compared to many women who labour for hours in crappy jobs on low incomes, have little access to NHS appointments or doctors, and slight chance of ever actually seeing an NHS dentist, let alone having flocks of nannies, servants, secretaries and flunkies of all kinds, whilst being showered with jewels and beautiful clothes, praise and admiration. Some women were born for that role, and Kate was definitely one of them.

in 2011, i had a cancer in the abdomen that was lethal. AND i'd had it for at least 6 mos. I also had a grumpy old surgeon who went after it right away.....and got it all....no chemo,, no radiation. And i'm still here. Someone in the biz said it sure wouldn't be like that today....you have to sign a waiver to follow any treatment they want to give you. And even if they've gotten it all, they want to give a round of chemo....or 2 or 3....to make sure ALL the cancer cells are dead. How times have changed!! ps the artist said she was after the soul of Catherine.....she missed. The protrait also doesn't look like her at all. There are dress designers who have done sketches of Catherine in a proposed outfit who have done a MUCH better job of capturing her likeness. The Tatler tends to be pro Harkle....that explains a lot.

Congratulations on your successful outcome! You don’t say what abdominal cancer you had but clearly it hadn’t spread.
They can tell a lot about the type and stage of lesions as they study the tissue, and the occurrence of abdominal cancers among young people like Catherine are among the most deadly, whether they be ovarian, uterine or bowel. It’s all about the metastases.

It's always worried me a bit that maybe they got my test results mixed up with someone else's before the surgery...in other words, i had a benign something and somewhere there was a person with a fast spreading malignancy that didn't get worked on for another 6 mos. We're in Canada....when your GP phones at 11"30 in the morning and says the oncologist can see you if you get to the hospital by 1 PM, you know you're in a LOT of trouble. When the oncologist takes samples and a week later says ""well it took 6 days and the head honcho to figure out what it was"" you know you're dead. I hadn't the heart to tell her i'd worked in Clinical Pathology for 10 mos....that's looking at slides and diagnosing blood abnormalities and cancers...and the only reason you can't tell which cancer it is, is because it's dividing so fast that they can't find any resting cells...which are the ones that tell you what kind it is. In other words it's growing and metastasizing like a shot. All the best to you!! ps it was clear cell carcinoma. The surgeon took out everything that i wasn't using right that moment. Sadly, the omental fat came back....

BTW, I had to go to a Canadian clinic in Trois Rivières Ontario while traveling, with a horrific, disabling bladder infection and I was scared to death (about Canadian medicine).
Turns out, I was treated quickly and kindly.
The reason I worried is because we have Canadian friends who really trash their system and go to Thailand for treatment!
They had me freaking out. Glad you had a good and prompt outcome.
(My husband is a physician here in Michigan).

Catherine was very clear in her public address about her chemo and impact on public appearances. Chemo can increase risk of serious illness if she picks up an infection, hence why she can still do some behind the scenes work but not public appearances at present

@@kimmonk1523 No, there is no such thing. However, there is adjuvant chemotherapy. That’s what is used when there is a belief that all of the cancer has been removed surgically. It is used to (hopefully) prevent recurrence and to (hopefully) catch any errant cells not seen on slides.
However, that scenario would not result in the patient’s being out of action and persistently so ill that outdoor activity would be ruled out. In fact, activity, which builds strength and supports emotional recovery, is strongly encouraged!
All the secrecy and the disappearing act don’t reflect a picture of successful surgery followed by conservative, adjuvant therapy.

10 times £25,000? That would be more than some CEOs. I googled it. It's listed as an enrtry level position assisting senior members of the team. Way to exaggerate the role 😂. ' £25k is about average for a graduate job starting pay.
It's only 4 month. If she get chemotherapy, than is that not even finished. With this treatment she will be very ill.
You cannot make this the same. The King is started his treatment immediately, Catherine had first a very important surgery, and after almost 3 month the dokters told her that she had cancer .
Than they hace to start a protocol and examinations before they start chemotherapy. Also every cancer is different and all the patients reaction is different. All off this can take more than a year if their are no communications in them mean time. I know what I'm talking about!!
How do you know she had very important surgery. What exactly was it that was so important? How do you know she was even in the London Clinic. No sight of her entering or leaving, and nobody vistied her for the duration of her supposed three week stay, and during her recovery from the aforementioned "very important surgery". Not her mother, not her kids, zilch.

For somebody who's just observing out of curiosity it's really strange. Like people don't use their brains any more, only run on emotions.
First of all Princess Catherine had to have abdominal surgery. Then they found cancer which was removed. She needed time to heal first of all from the operation before starting the cancer treatment. The cancer that was removed would have to be tested no doubt plus she would have to wait on the results. Her prevention treatment then would start to stop the cancer coming back again. This is done over a number of months until she gets the all clear from her doctors. She could be very sore, tired or unwell with this treatment as it effects everyone differently. So if I was her personally I wouldn't want to go out much in public at the minute myself. Plus she has her we family and Prince William there to look after her. So please be patient she will be back when she feels stronger which I've heard she's doing well.

And, there is no such thing as preventative chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is specific to the cell type of cancer it’s meant to treat. Stop drinking the koolade. 5 months with no sign of her, something is wrong!

Great work, Sandro! The royal family does indeed need a crisis manager, and $25K per year just doesn't cut it. I have two family members who were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 30 years apart. Thirty years ago, one died after four months. The other is recovering well (no evil eye) six months into the recovery, and his oncologist told him weeks ago to make plans for the summer. I wish Princess Catherine well, but there's a better way to handle the public. Make a few appearances, fi only on Zoom, and there will be less speculation. People just want to know that you are indeed recovering.

There is an excellent show in England you can find on CZcams called "Portrait artist of the Year", I highly recommend it. There are amazingly talented artist in the U.K., no doubt!!! The problem is the judges of the artist in the U.K. are horrendously bad and always pick the worst artists as the winners. Horrible portrait of a king apparently soaked in blood, which when folded shows the head of a demon. Another of a woman who isn´t Kate, but we are told is Kate, although she´s been MIA for 6 months - taken by aliens perhaps. Worse A.I. Ever Award yet to be won, unless they come up with another hum dinger. This is a show with no director. and no logical script...it´s never been done before. It´s reality tv gone haywire. My husband had cancer and he couldn't see anybody because everybody has germs and his body was so beaten up by cancer that he doesn't have anything in him to prevent bacteria germs so she gets sick it's gonna be very difficult for her to cure it
Could he talk on the phone? Could he be photographed with you? Did nobody see a sight of him for 5 months? It is not about cancer.

I am wishing the best for her. So very young.......and the fact that they're not mentioning her cancer type or Prince Charles (which I wouldn't necessarily expect them to do), is not good. As someone that works in Oncology, it's a little alarming to me. I wish them both a speedy recovery, care and love during their time of need.

That cancer treatments have on your body. Catherine her body mass was never large She has always been Thin. Some treatments cause People to Get sick and vomit. It's hard to put on weight. It is difficult. To eat.

I had my fourth chemo infusion on Thursday. The fatigue is horrible. She needs to heal, leave her alone. She is the future Queen and will come back. That so called artist must be a fan of the unkept witch.
She can work a little from home but she cant go out because she is physically ill. How is that hard to understand?

Princess Catherine isnt dead.
First of all Princess Catherine had to have abdominal surgery. Then they found cancer which was removed. She needed time to heal first of all from the operation before starting the cancer treatment. The cancer that was removed would have to be tested no doubt plus she would have to wait on the results. Her prevention treatment then would start to stop the cancer coming back again. This is done over a number of months until she gets the all clear from her doctors. She could be very sore, tired or unwell with this treatment as it effects everyone differently. So if I was her personally I wouldn't want to go out much in public at the minute myself. Plus she has her we family and Prince William there to look after her. So please be patient she will be back when she feels stronger which I've heard she's doing well.
So why don't they say this instead of lies?
They did not find cancer during surgery, incipient cancer cells were discovered after tissue samples were sent to pathology, which is why her chemotherapy is preventative.

My brother had radiation and chemotherapy for bowel cancer. He hated the chemo saying it felt like he was being poisoned. He died about 6 months into the treatment. Catherine Princess of Wales is being absolutely practical when she says she is leaving the decision to return to royal duties to her doctor and people should respect that.
