@@wenling3487 Yup. Such flexibility now though in sizing, scaling. I actually let my Tradovate account go and opened only TopstepX to be able to copy trade. The main difference between actual TradingView and TopstepX is that long/short tool - I was so used to designing my risk parameters in, beforehand, with the TV tool but I've gotten used to the TSX way of trade entry. TSX lets you set TP and SL based on monetary amount, but you can't really prime if for RR ahead of time. Still, it's nice to be able to start with say four micros and add or take away as many as you want once the trade is under way.

Hi cam thanks for the content. Got a question. For example if I'm using 150k topstep account and I go to a drawdown of $1k , for the 50% profit . Can I make the $1k drawdown plus $4,500 for the day or that is exceeding the 50% profit rule or I should make the $1k drawdown plus $3,500 to make the 50% Prof rule
I'd love more thoughts on the whole "professional trader" thing. What are the advantages? How is reaching that status better than simply funding your own personal account? Can you decline the "shoulder tap"?

You forgot to mention that when you pass live and funds have been transfered to the Live account, you can buy other combines and then bring them up to 5 XFA. So you can have 5+1 accounts to withdraw funds

It seems like the only real benefit to the live account is being able to say that you’re a “professional trader”. Why bother paying more fees? I have to be missing something.
The live account allows you to scale up indefinitely. Also better than trading SIM funds imo

Do we get payouts after we complete the first challenge in 50K Trading combine account or we only get payouts after we upgrade by paying an extra $149 to an Express funded account?
Ok, I still have one question, the first 10k we keep is general or per account? When we see on Apex website or even in others porp firms, they say it clearly, on Apex for example, it says we keep the first 25k per account, and because of that I always think that here on Topstep it is a general number to the first 10k we ever make there
The 30 days is no longer in effect anymore for paying the activation fee
When you say you do your own drawn down cushion so do you just make 4500 for example then 159500 is basically your starting balance and you can request 100% of anything made on that

Switching to top step after apex changed up. Currently sitting on 24k in a 50k acc with apex and they denied me three times in a row. Followed their rules and everything.
On the scaling plan, for a 150k XFA, does 3 “lots” mean 3 NQ or 3 MNQ? Thank for the clarity!
Perfect timing for this video....I passed a 50K and 150 K on Thursday....got the "congrats"....i.
It seems that the 50k is at a better advantage than the 150 k....50 k has initial max 2 contract while 150 k has max 3 contracts...why not 5/6?...this sort of messes up my strategy on 150k.

@@lilbruh7247 ES and GC...no payout yet...allocation scale is not favorable to my strategy so have to take it quietly ,,,, also decided not to take payout until I have met a specific goal.

Apex trading funding is a scam. I did two trade yesterday worth of 4K in total, one loss and one win but the following day my account of Locked out. It is a lie that Apex says 300K has 7.5K intraday trailing. Scam, stay away like a plague

@@zaher1636 yeah that dist drawdown sucks. You can make 10k.. lose 6.5k at any moment and your account is cooked... Now your account is cancelled with a 3.5k balance that u can't cash out

This was great but my only dislike is the 5 trading days of $200 or more.. this causes you to continue to trade and not sit on your earned profits and actually get paid out.. wish they would remove that

No, actually it encourages you to trade LESS often. Make your money, and lock yourself out. Bam, another winning trading day. It seems pretty simple to get to a cumulative 5 days over the course of.... the rest of your life.
nah man that’s a great rule. $200 a day is seriously easy. if you find it hard, just take more time to study. you shouldn’t feel the need to drop a ton of contracts for 5 or less points. 1 contract at 10-15 points adds up very fast

If I get the $49 subscription to have a $50,000 account and I fail the evaluation, do I need to pay $49 for each new account or are multiple attempts included in the monthly subscription? In other words, if I fail an account and want to start over, is it included in the same subscription or do I need to pay for each account I use
my understanding is if you fail you can pay 49$ to reset it early. Or wait til end of month when ur billing cycle hits and it will auto reset. So essentially you have one shot per 49$

Sure is, just need to check with your trading platform. I know Tradovate, Ninjatrader, TopstepX have a copier for sure
how long do you think on average it would take to get a payout? from like start to finish. if everything done right.
Really depends on your win rate and risk to reward. My cousin and I both started 50k challenges two weeks ago he passed all the steps and today requested a $2500 payout in 12 trading day. He left 2k buffer in his account. I’m still working on mine. I’m up $600. Still have $2400 to go and 5 the consecutive days of $200.

can anyone tell me about contract size? Currently i am on 50k but it says 5 contract. Is that 5 contract per open trade or it mean i can only trade 5 contract a day? Can i trade 5 contract premarket open and 5 contract after market or i can't trade once i close that 5 contract ?

What is the drawdown on the $50k accounts and does it trail to initial balance or above?
It doesn't seem to trail. I was -$690 day 1 , day 2 was $3700. Now my profit target is higher bc my best day is above 50%

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, on a $150K account, if you build a cushion of $4.5K before requesting a payout, you essentially have a $9K drawdown, since the profit will stack on the base $4.5K drawdown, right?
No, the 4.5k base will be gone once you get your payout, your new drawdown will be 4.5k as you have taken out 4.5k and left 4.5k in your balance and your drawdown balance is set to $0 starting balance
@@capstrazz6224 Lets say I didnt request a payout, would the cushion/profit of 4.5K stack on the base? So if I went on a losing streak I would be able to lose 9K before loaing the account?
and you dont have 150k. Your funds are the drawdown. E.g 50k account. You really only 2k to trade, so best just use your own funds if have 2k and not have any drawdown and their trailing rules.

@@niemnn Once you hit 52k your Max Drawdown is at 50k and it stays at 50k. If youre up 6k like your example you can lose up to 6k. But if you withdrawal lets say 3k from your 6k, you can only lose 3k now before you hit 50k. So basically what im doing is considering 52k breakeven to keep a 2k buffer. This is for a 50k account example.

Sounds good, but you also have to pay 1490 to activate all of them...trick is ,if good enough to activate a few and with your initial payout activate a few more, then on the next payout activate the remainder.....just got to get it done with in 30 days.

Yes, you can have 5 contracts open at the same time during the combine stage. they can be the same trade or 5 separate trades.
Why CME data costs 135$ monthly if in TradingView it costs only 7$?
$135 is the professional fee which you only have to pay if you're part of a trading business like having a live funded account under Topstep

you need 2 days to pass. for a 50k account the profit target to pass it is 3k and once you start, the best winning day can't be greater than 50% of profit target. so you can't make more than $1500 in a day.

No benefit to go live. You just pay more fees.
So, if you go over your daily profit limit they add double that amount to your target.
On a 50K account your daily profit limit is 1500$, if you go over that limit ie. 500$, they add another $1000 to your profit target. So, it's not $3000 anymore but $4000...that's BS if you ask me...I understand what they are trying to prevent - one lucky trade hit, but if I was able to make 1999$ in 3 trades, trading 1 contract, with 100% win rate they should consider that in...

@@domidomi5733 Nah man, its there to build consistency in trading. Having not met the $3K threshold and hitting over 50% on your first winning day might be luck or it might be that you're that good, but topstep has no way to measure that yet. If you can do that day over day, go you, you're an awesome trader and them raising that minimum should mean nothing in the long run. Just prove that you are consistently winning! :)
