just to let you know.. invalid CODE. but great video :)
I can't believe I can't find one Ninja Trader code for this month of September!! Unbelievable!!!
I prefer the 150k account because sometimes you need the bigger drawdown. I usually trade 1-5 contracts and the 150k supports it better.
I passed the 150k in 5 days.
Bro is it a two step challenge or One? If i buy a 50k challenge and make 3k i move to funded or i move to another step?
one step, then you have the 150usd fee to activate for full funding.
@@LamekNyariki It's one step but when u pass the first stage you have to pay $149 usd for your funded account. On your funded account you have to make $200 for 5 days to qualify for a payout. When you request a payout you'll only get 50% of the money. So in a sense, it's like a 3 step challenge if you ask me.
Exactly, 50k's drawdown is probably the hardest to deal with. If you are down past the little drawdown they offer, your account is done. But if you have the bigger 150k drawdown, you have room to recover. 50k sets you up to fail, IMO.
This is correct. The $50k is rough.....only $1k drawdown per day.
Been reviewing your channel for the past few days. Very well and soft spoken type of person. simplistic, straight to the point and easy to understand and follow up. stay that way brother. i hope you and your family are well.
One thing I've noticed .... all 3 account types could be considered as equal regarding passing the combines, if you're comfortable using the contract weight .... all 3 are a lot easier to pass or hit 50% target after a deep market sale off, and you load up to buy the retracement ... adjustments can be made of course.... I typically build quickly into strength
50k. 5 (contracts) × $20 (per point) × 15 (points) = target ($1,500)
100k. 10 × $20 × 15 = $3,000
150k. 15 × $20 ×15 =$4,500
Profit target to drawdown, and ease of passing yes 50k is best, but 50k is harder to get to a payout with scaling and micros counting the same as minis. Bigger drawdown in funded portion is more important than getting funded. But they all have their benefits and drawbacks
I wish I had this video when I first started before I blew two accounts. I realized it only trade one to two contracts anyway so I don’t I even need to be able to trade 15. Maybe if you’re scaling into micros but I don’t trade that way anyway. Either way I hope this video helps someone before they get started.
10k-50k are best for another simple reason - you can stack up 5-20 small accounts and use trade copier to earn a decent sum even if all you do is take 1-5 points in profit from each account while staying relative safe and not blow your account with large risk.
There is a limit of how many accounts Top Step allows you to purchase. I think 3 is the limit.
@@heartstrings110 You don't have to use only top-step, other firms offer up to 20 accounts, also you can use a 3rd party trade copier that can link as many accounts as you want from different firms simultaneously.
@@heartstrings110 does that mean i can have 3 150k accoutns at once? so 450k total all at once?
@@shadezentertainment9877 Yes. That’s correct.
@@shadezentertainment9877 yup
If you trade 1 mini 150k is best
First go with 50K
Then there's the fact that your $50K acct is NOT a $2000 account, it's a $1000 account because you can only lose half of $2000 in one day. NO ROOM TO WORK !
Bingo. It's sets you up to fail. Avoid 50 at all costs.
The account doesn't get closed if you reach your daily loss. Only if you reach the max loss
That means your wrong and going to hard the wrong way.
Yeah I'm learning this the hard way. $1k can fly by fast.
Exactly!!!! This threw me off!! I passed the challenge and blew the express in a few days because of the low drawdown!
I passed 2 150k account in 1 1/2 weeks my first time getting funded this week. I’m am going to trade for 30 days so I can get the max withdrawal.
Hi. Can we use trade copier in combine stage?
Bro is it a two step challenge or One? If i buy a 50k challenge and make 3k i move to funded or i move to another step?
@@LamekNyariki funded
@@alexanderbascetta4951 great.. your experience with them?
howd it go
It's not about how quick you can get funded ! It's how much capital you have to work with. And when you get funded your max contracts is limited by your profit gain. So it's taking you longer to earn REAL money. I passed the $150K in 2 days beccause I had plenty of room to work. And just so you know, the owner of Trade Day agreed with me.
I never had issue with topstep scaling plan. You can make real money with just 1 contract. It boils down to the hour you are trading. I like to trade during London hour because I could utilize my sizing properly. At times max 3 contracts and easy 1k++ trade. It takes 2hours to get my profit target without even having a stoploss because the market moves slow. If I trade NYC opening to lunch time I only use one contract and trade goes very fast. But it’s so seldom I trade those hours because of too much volume and I prefer trading without stop loss. I passed my 150k in 2days and made 2 withdrawals in 11 days. And I still have XFA 150k
Topstep charges a monthly fee so the point is to become funded asap, with discretion and money management of course...
@@Cookingtrade can you explain a little more of this? What if you can’t get a funded account to begin with are you’re starting at some obscure amount like 25 bucks for example
I been trying topstep for over a year and in my opinion the 50k is very difficult because the 1k lose limit.
I have two small payout and after that always blow the acc..I been trying with the 150k practice and sometimes, I hit the 1k limit in the day, but because I have another 1k to lose I end with big profits in the day, like today after I blow mi real 50k acc I when to the practice and I make over 11k using contract..and I never lose. Ore than 1k...I believe ik Daly lose is to easy achieve..I also try micros ..and after days of small profits you ended losing your acc in 2 o 3 days...me personally I won't use 50k acc again.
You are crazy… just trade with 1 contract on ES. Risk $250 per trade. And boom you have 8-10 trades before you blow it…. If you ask for more you’re just a gambler
Great video. The thing with the $50k, is that it's a $1k daily loss limit allowed, not the full $2k.....so really, you're working with $1k a day. It's a $2k loss total before the account is blown, but it's only $1k allowed per day....that makes it rough.
And it’s not even $2k unless you re in your express account and have made $2k to trail .. if not your drawdown is much lower
Three 50k accounts seems to be more value for money than one 150k. Is it not possible to take that way? Because the profit to drawdown ratio also looks good in that way.
Honestly I agree and although I currently have a 100k I am definitely going for 50k going forward
Based on the way I trade I prefer the larger loss limt
You didn't mention the daily loss limits. Personally I struggled with the 50K because of this. Just 2 or 3 losses in a row on NQ can make you hit your max daily loss of 1000. I found the 150k a lot easier to pass because it's got a $3000 daily loss limit. I need room to make mistakes and recover.
If you trade micro lots, you can lose several times and keep your account.
Your trading too big
@@ExpatTraderFX I am trading as small as I can without using Micros, which aren’t fully supported by Topstep. When you get funded you are restricted to a scaling plan of 2 contracts (minis or micros). 2 micros isn’t enough. I have to trade the combine the way I will trade the funded acct.
@@MrsKartier yeah but you can Only trade 5. So you’ll be there all day
@@GentryTradingCo
That’s with Topstep. Other firms let you trade more than that. Also, you should be trading 5. Energy, and indices move enough for you to make 1k plus in a day. Grow your account first. I’ve been funded by Topstep . I passed that evaluation in three days using Minis. I got fund and blew my account within two weeks using Minis. My first trade as a funded trader was a loss. I then tried to build back, then revenge trade with minis, then realized I can only trade micros at this point, then I thought 😱 , this is going to take me forever being this negative. So I decided to just blow it up at the end. This time around, i use other firms and use micros only. I can go up to 20 micros but my max is 5. Making 700-1k a day and that’s on several accounts. No need to go all in on one account.
Avoid 50k at all costs, no room to recover with it's little bitty drawdown. Dish out more money for the bigger accounts to have more room and time to work.
This! His math wasn’t wrong just in the wrong equation. Your best bet is 150k f to risk 1k per trade
@@ayamurayama3961 Exactly!
What about copy trading brother? How does it work.
I want to buy two 50K accounts but not sure if I can keep one parked and trade on one only. Would I be penalized for not trading the second account?. Thank you
The $50k challenges is harder because the drawdown is so low
Tell me one thing sir, these 2k,3k and 4.5k drawdown limit is for daily basis or for a monthly basis??
Prop firms are not cool...large accounts that ONLY trade 2-10 contracts????????.....if you trade ES (e-mini-S&P Futures Contract) = Tradovate allows you to trade one contract for only $500.00 plus a small pad = $750.00 per contract x 2 = only need $1500.00 to get started!!!!!!! AND YOU DO IT ON YOUR OWN! FYI: you better have a solid trading strategy!!!!!!!!!!!! before you just waste your challenge monies paid!
It's all about if people want to risk their own capital... With prop firms, at least the risk is known and taken at the beginning. Whereas with a personal account an inexperienced trader can blow $1000s in a day without risk management.
can you run these account infinite? or is there a money cap? for example if you pass 100k challenge and we are for example at 110k. Can you run that account to 300k and get like a 150k payout and then your risk are the 150k remaining? or is there a money cap?
Smaller account is simply better because of the fact it’s a 4% drawdown limit whereas the others are only 3%
Do you help people pass? I might give it a go but not super confident atm and would appreciate a mentor
Bro is it a two step challenge or One? If i but a 50k challenge and make 3k i move to funded or i move to another step?
Does topstep have a trailing drawdown?
yup its so dumb
Yes
Will those prices stay the same after first month? Or is that for only the first month?
Why cant we have more than 3 accounts
More than 3 accounts are coming soon in TopStep. It will be subject to some kind of scaling plan. I would guess you need to get over a certain profit on one of your 3 XFAs to be able to start a fourth and so on up to 10 I believe. It seems like a sensible approach to protect the company and the trader.
How much in the futures prop firm space you all risking per trade ?
In forex we risking 1% per trade because we have 10% max loss
I can tell you I did the math. Contracts to Lots . If you put up the same amount of capital per trade on both Forex and Futures, Futures pay around 7 times better, depending on the product you're trading. Everyone who comes from forexto futures says they are never going back to forex. Plus you don't have your broker trading against you and manipulating price . There is only one exchange.
@@mikebertram619 but you might loose the challenge faster with 3 losers trades back back with 1% with top step rules.
@@mikebertram619 Yeaahh but because we are still in a sim environment, topstep can fck you up with slippage (which they do). So it's not THAT better.
I agree, excellent!
Hello bro how much i have pay next month . 49 or 165.?
Your math not mathing, you were off by 50% on all of those number
50k = 100% gain
100k = 150% gain
150k = 150% gain
No ur math is wrong lol.
50k account- 3000/2000=1.50
Then 1.50 x 100 = 150 gain.
Same with other accounts

i trade 5 minis on 50k hmm weird.
When did the prices decrease?
Topstep has been on a permanent sale since last summer.
@@Kevergy5 What does the logo mean, "1 Step, 1 Rule"?
@@tick-collector they used to have a multi stage combine with 2 profit targets, rules around economic releases etc and both a daily loss and a max drawdown which could fail you. Now it’s only 1 step. And 1 rule: hit the profit target before you hit your max loss. Technically there’s a second rule around consistency. Your biggest profit day cannot be more than 50% of total profit.
