QUESTION: Is there a balance of Loyalist and Traitor Legions to fight each other? I mean won't the Fires of the Salamanders be able to burn away the diseases of the Plague Marines of the Death Guard? So one is really meant to fight the other.
Brandon Aughtman Not necessarily, but some do antagonize each other. Such as Iron Warriors and Imperial Fists since both are talented at sieges. Or Blood Angels and World Eaters since both primarily fight with heavy assult doctrines
Also there arent too many salamanders as they are beeing fucked over and over and over and over since the landing and they didnt get much opporunity to recover their losses in the last 10k years yet :D
How do recruiting and training work for the chaos spacemarines
pyro42 They recruit from slaves mostly.
pyro42 first, chaos space marines DO NOT recruit from slaves as thier primary source of new troops. They dont usually induct new troops, but they do recruiting using the same methods as their loyalist brothers, additionally they take in traitor and deserter marines which the loyalist dont have the option to do. another method of "making" new troops is a marine named Favious Bile he figured out the process required to procure new marines usually in exchange for fresh living specimens. Another method chaos has to keep its number a fighting strength is summoning dead marines from the warp using some sort of reincarnation ritual once again usually in exchange for living sacrifices to which ever god will grant them this favor. Lastly should they take from a slave population they would generally be gladiatorial slaves and only allow the top warrior receive the chance to be "tested" and eventually inducted into the chaos marine legion. chaos marines dont usually take a critical number of casualties, this is because they arent usually forced to engage with overwhelming enemy resistance based on usually preforming raids and not being required to defend the vast imperium the loyalists have to defend.

TwentySided42 a good thing, yes, since it looks like they might be the best for that job, but necrons should be able to fight Chaos even better, even using these pylons to establish normal conditions on Chaos controlled worlds.
How do those on chaos planets, like, eat? What about water? Where and how are the weapons they have produced? Is there any logistical explanation for how any of this is sustainable?

Konrad cuze never entered the warp, he was against daemoic possession and daemons in general. He was more traitorous than chaotic, he may have eventually been killed at the end of the Horus heresy by a callidus assassin, it is believed he allowed her to kill him as he believed he had to be punished for his wrongdoings. I'd read the wiki about him if you want to know more about him

Zag Zagzag they have their own gods. The orks have gork and mork. The elder have quite a lot, try the 40k wiki

Also chaos affects every species with psysics powers so not the tau.
chaos eldar would probably be dead. there are a few orks in the service of khorne though
orks have gork and mork--they are unique among races that they have their own gods, eldar don't worship chaos because if they let slaanesh get ahold of them their soul is immediately consumed. it's why they have soulstones, to protect their souls from slaanesh after they die, and it's why dark eldar have a STRICT law against any DE being psykers, or psykers in commoragh (unless they are harlequins, because they have cegorach to protect their souls)

The Nids don't have a real connection to the warp. They're all linked into a hive mind that has its own almost god-like sentience and I'm pretty sure they don't even use the warp to travel. Necrons on the other hand...well a bunch of chaos cultists would have a really shitty morning. No emotion=No power involving the warp.

Ernesto Rodriguez slaves mostly. Fabius bile is a cloning master and sometimes sells clones to chaos war bands. The iron warriors use warp corrupted women whose wombs are big enough to accommodate several male children. The women are implanted with gene seed, the kids are placed inside the womb for a time and out pops new space marines. You can read the ultramarine omnibus by graham mcneill where he describes this process in more detail. I believe they're called the deamoncublia (that's my best guess as I have no idea how to spell it) try searching honsou in 40k wiki as well as it's described there.
