    Hi - I’m Gregor Heinrich. Welcome to my "Golf & Tesla" channel. This CZcams channel is designed to give you an overview of golf courses I have played on, occasional equipment reviews or "how to" clips.
    As to the "Tesla" bit, you can also see some reports on my Tesla, and Supercharger stations I come across. For both the golf courses as well as the Supercharger reviews I often use a Mavic Pro drone.
    So if you are neither a fan of golf nor of Tesla, you can still enjoy the playlist "drone footage" on my channel.
    If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

    Even after the lockdown and golf courses open, I occasionally practice with such balls - good to practice posture and swing. If you are new to this channel and like the video, I would appreciate if you could subscribe... Thanks

      Thanks - indeed : i was surprised as well how much the mic picked up the birds (i guess the audio comptession in post production enhanced that sound

    Been wondering how the wiffle balls compared to golf balls on my chip shots. Nice to know they’re similar distance!

      do you have a possibility to try it out for yourself? The "feel" is different with wiffle balls, though, as they are much lighter..

      @@GolfTesla the swing is the same it just doesn’t feel as heavy on the hands if that makes sense. They’re also a little more forgiving if you top it a little cause they’ll still catch air. Been fun so far

    California closing again - was wondering if whiffle balls would make sense. Now i know they do. Cheers!

      Thanks. Nice to see that such a clip is actually helpful for some.. (what I like in particular with wiffle balls is that they take on mistakes as well. For istance: you slice and the ball flies accordingly.

      Hi Alexander, thanks for your comment. When you say "sick!" you mean that in the new sense of "cool, nice", or in the old sense that there is something you don't like about the video? I would be interested in knowing.

    Hi do those plastic balls still react the same as a real ball left and right so you have an idea if its drawing/fading?

    • @GolfTesla
      @GolfTesla  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes, and that is the cool thing. The wiffle balls react to slicing or drawing the ball, in fact, almost exaggerate it so it is a good practice. One disadvantage: they do not last forever, and especially if hit at much higher speeds, eg with a 5-wood, hybrid etc they sometimes break or tear at the seams (they are made of two half-cups that are then sealed together). On the other hand, they don't cost much.. And: as I mention in the video: if you hit a soft chip shot, they will fly like a regular ball, almost, and if whacked at full speed will only go 20 yards max.
      Some people however don''t like the "light" feel - so you will never get the weight-feedback on your club-head as you would with a real ball. -- See also: czcams.com/video/_0AnWzac824/video.html

    Hallo Gregor!
    Absolut empfehlen für das Training im Garten kann ich „birdieballs“! Auch wenn sie mit ihrer Zylinderform komisch aussehen mögen,ist es das beste Produkt für Heimtraining (meine Meinung) Sie fliegen nur 40 yards (≈36m) weit, geben jedoch ein Gefühl wie echte Golfbälle zurück und fliegen auch stabiler als Whiffle-Balls! Man kann sogar shotshapen (Draw, Fade, etc.) Hier gibt kann man sie relativ günstig kaufen: homegolf.ch/produkte/birdieball-dozen-box-ein-dutzend/

      Danke fuer den Tipp (schreibe von meinem anderen Kanal), probiere ich gerne mal aus. Draw/Fade/Slice gehen auch mit wiffle Bällen, aber weil sie so leicht sind, ist das Gefühl beim Ballkontakt natürlich anders. Aber da hier ab Sommer die Plätze wieder aufwaren, habe ich meinen Garten gar nicht mehr zum Training nutzen brauchen, aber der Frühling kommt ja bald.

    Do whiffle balls fly on a lower trajectory? I use to scoop my shots a lot when I started, and now I changed my swing to hit down on the ball. Noticed the whiffle balls don't fly as high in the air with my new swing, which makes sense.. but wondering if you have the same experience.

    • @GolfTesla
      @GolfTesla  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for your question. In my experience, wiffle balls fly (for a while at least) almost like a normal ball. But then, I don't compact the ball a lot and am more of a "picker". Perhaps others have more detailed views. As to scooping: it has less to do with the kind of ball or whether you hit down on the ball or not, but whether you keep the hands/wrists ahead and don't let the clubface overtake the hands in the impact zone. (but then I am not a pro, so my views here don't really "count"; as many do: taking a few lessons with a pro is the better alternative.
