Finally. This is not talked about enough. Critical thinking and introspection is so scarce amidst the illusion of infallible advice by these people who've "been through it". Nobody doubts that they haven't been through a lot of shit themselves to get where they are.. But the fact that people don't QUESTION and analyze things for themselves is worrying, you are only putting yourself in a victim position by always looking for an answer in the world without instead of the world within. For when you inevitably fail, you will blame the people whom you trusted advice from.
Nobody, NOBODY has gone through the same things as you have. NOBODY has the same thinking pattern as you. NOBODY has the exact same values. Man, I've failed to realize the value of self-reflection for so goddamn long, always thinking the golden advice is out there somewhere and I would do exactly what you said here.
Damn this is so right. Right now I‘ve watched so many study videos and they‘re all good but none of them really helped me. That’s because I was studying in a foreign language. Some advice were good, some needed context, some where not applicable. Also there is survivorship bias. People who succeed in a study method are more likely to post a video about it than many people who tried it and didn’t worked for them.
I just did some doomscrolling on CZcams, to find something I want to watch (and my page is mostly filled with self-improvement or spiritual stuff), but because I've been feeling very apathetic and depressed, there was nothing that sparked my interest, as I'm so sick and tired of the different life theories that just create more confusion in my mind than anything, until I came across this video suggestion in the very bottom of my page. You gave such an important message that I truely needed :')
I think this is the most important video ever for this type of CZcams content. Very well said and I also had to take some time to reflect on my self to see if I was in the same position. Thank you for this🙏🏼
