Hello, I'm a young French man and it's only today, 08/07/2023 that I've seen this video. I was really moved by the words this old man used. An old man's advice is like a rare gem, shaped by the wisdom of time and experience. In the midst of our fast-paced world, taking heed of such wisdom can offer invaluable insights and guidance. Here's to cherishing the timeless wisdom passed down through generations
Inspirational video from an genuine soul. None of that vibe like he is trying to sell me something or monetize that I get from all the other self-help channels.
Good and bad do not exist but people’s opinions and perceptions on reality do exist only for a short time until they die and sometimes their opinions will go on for a couple hundred years and maybe a couple thousand years but eventually their opinions will disappear maybe due to a catastrophe that wipes out most of mankind.
@@darragh3796 that's mostly irrelevant to the conversation, the important thing is, he is in a better place and it is now our responsibility to spread his message
I needed this in this exact moment. I’ve been feeling like an absolute failure recently because of a mistake I made. It’s been so hard trying to get out of condemnation & self hate. All I keep saying is I wish I could go back in time and be smarter but I can’t. I really feel like I’ve ruined my future & my family. I needed these words. It’s been really hard. Really hard.
I just came across this video and I watched the other one just now and I must say, I'm touched. I came by real late but I still felt the impact of this sweet old man's advice. I don't think I've gotten any advice like this one. Not even from my parents. The way he says, we need you. The way he spoke, I didn't know when my eyes got teary. Coz my life right now is hard, it's really hard and I've just been trying to get by and hold on. I really needed this. I wish I could sit down with him and enjoy more of his wisdom. But now he's resting. May his sweet soul rest in peace with the Lord. Even in death, you're still impacting lives. Thank you so much. You were a gift and you still are.
This video kept popping up on my homepage, at first i did not even wanted to look, but something made me look at the tumbnail for a few seconds more every time...i watched this with tears in my eyes & a little more love on my heart🙏🏽❤
The youtube algorithm is a magical thing, scientists cannot explain it but when you are given a video by the all mighty algorithm you watch it and by God you pay attention to every word.
I am sobbing while watching this. It randomly appeared in my suggested after a pretty bad panic attack. The world seems out of my control; it is 2023. Things are surface level good for me, but nothing is stable. It feels like it will crumble at any moment. Those in power seem to eat everything up in their greed no matter what we do, and those older than me (I’m 29) only have harsh words to give to my generation when we try to seek advice or share how confusing this time is with them. I’ve prayed for some older, wiser being to converse with, to show me the way, to hear me out. I’m so thankful for this video. I saw that this sweet soul passed away, god bless his soul. This was the answer to my prayer. I am determined to become the old person young people can turn to for hope and encouragement, like he did for me. Thank you. ❤
I love old people. To me, they are like books but better. They have so much to offer - stories, experience, words of wisdom, love and warmth! My whole life I wanted a grandmother/father figure around me who'll guide me. I'm so lucky I found this channel.
*This is the type of grandpa everyone wishes they had in their life giving them advice for any problem with life or when you are conflicted you can just simply talk it out*
A great man, whose inspirational words are forever engraved in the hearts and minds of those of us that were fortunate enough to stumble upon this video. RIP, Mr. Bernard Albertson.
Vid got recommended to me this morning and I needed this message more than ever, thank you for the advice and kind words. Your impact on us young people will last forever, RIP 💙🙏🏽
It’s crazy how this is getting recommended to everyone 5 years later when his words are just as true as when he filmed this. I speak for all of us when I say Rest In Peace Bernard
@FallxnAce From an article I read, it said he died of an undisclosed illness at age 82. Source: www.latestnewssouthafrica.com/2020/07/16/bernard-albertson-death-man-who-suffered-illetracy-to-a-writer-of-multiple-published-works/
A great African proverb because we did not have widespread written history. Most wisdom was passed orally so when the elders passed they took all their wisdom with them. Thus children would often sit at the feet of elders listening to stories of times gone by
give me a break... There are plenty of old men who never read a book in their lives & never did much living. There are a lot of them. Don't give them so much credit.
"I see young people stepping on a flag, throwing rocks, rioting that's frustration, frustration, its frustration with the establishment" This guy said that 3 years ago and it is coming up right now in time, its inspiring
@@delve_ to add to that, my idea is that however CZcams's algorithms work, it in some way incorporates current events and talking points from comments and recent video subjects and video titles that the majority clicks on to determine what is and is not relevant at any given time. So the reason this video "randomly" got recommended again now is BECAUSE of what's going on right now in the world. CZcams likely didn't pick this video out themselves to show the world some good advice in these trying times. Instead they probably just wrote their algorithm in such a way that, essentially, WE picked this video out as being within the realms of videos we want more of based on the types of videos we already watch.
Thank you Sir.. We needed you as our PRESIDENT... You are Our Inspiration.. God rest your Soul... I'm 67 and pretty much given up hope.. I hold onto the crumb of Hope.. Thank You..

haha yes! My thoughts exactly! To me it felt like a moment where he was in tune with God- speaking His words through his own self....so in a way...maybe to him it seemed like he got off track. Because for a moment- the words he began to speak were not a part of his plan alone to say. I felt like I got to witness a moment where Truth became true: that all good things come from the good Source. And when we do good intentions out of our heart- they are in fact inspired from this Source of all good- even if we aren't aware of it. That our own choice to choose good over bad allows this beautiful interaction between these two worlds. Please, if you are reading this- no matter what you believe in- please choose to give in to the tenderness of your heart. You don't have to believe in what I believe to decide to give love to others. So please, let the love flow and choose to love. Aside from every single thing in this entire world of beliefs and philosophies- the one thing we can all choose to do universally- as one- is to love. Love is the only thing in this world that may divide us and bring us together. The divide is our love for different things. But the togetherness- is the love that we feel for each other. And we don't have to agree on anything if we agree to love; because it's strong enough to accept all of the differences that may divide us.....when it is truly love. Learning to love a person down to the center of who they are- as a person; rather than the things that shaped them into it. This way of loving a person leads into the love of the journey they've taken and the things that shaped them into who they are. Allowing true tender love to hold a person; instead of the idea of the things that we choose to love. :D
I know I’ll make it and I’ll always try to better myself because of you Sir. Thank you for reminding me that it’s never too late, I will forever remember your teachings and kindness, rest in peace❤

Sometimes I get discouraged, and things like this just appear in my feed like the algorithms sensed it and were like, “Ok, but this guy believes in you. He’s been through rough times, too.” And I appreciate that.
Well my bad has lasted for over 30 years and it don't look like it's gonna get any better any time soon.Just so sick and tired of being sick and tired I need some love and happiness in my life for once.

“Good nor bad things last forever” I’ll keep that in mind.
There’s a lyric from a country song that goes “thinking that your luck won’t ever change is like thinking it won’t ever stop once it starts to rain”
Balance
Numb
Good and bad do not exist but people’s opinions and perceptions on reality do exist only for a short time until they die and sometimes their opinions will go on for a couple hundred years and maybe a couple thousand years but eventually their opinions will disappear maybe due to a catastrophe that wipes out most of mankind.

A great African proverb because we did not have widespread written history. Most wisdom was passed orally so when the elders passed they took all their wisdom with them. Thus children would often sit at the feet of elders listening to stories of times gone by

@@delve_ Yet we were all recommended this video in the exacte time it would be most relevant. It almost feels intentional, doesn't it?
+daniel flin
Could be. It's most likely just the algorithm doing its thing, but it could be intentional. Only CZcams knows.

To think this was made 5 years ago and he's talking about stuff happening now
@@maddyrose6196 yeah
@@maddyrose6196 That is exactly what I was thinking
