- Russia has lost major battles throughout Ukraine as Russian forces take the highest losses seen in the Kharkiv offensive to date. Russian forces are operationally exhausted in most fronts and while offensive action continues the battles are lost due to a lack of momentum and proper supplies. Russia has cowered down to NATO rescinding their bilateral move to change maritime borders with NATO, giving NATO a diplomatic victory.

I’d have to argue the inverse in this context. I’m typically completely against regime changes, as they rarely go through for the better, but we’re at the bottom of the barrel with Putin and his dream of a reunified communist state. We know what to expect out of communists, and it’s never good.

As there is a a lot of Russian debt in China, a Russian collapse might make them default on their debts in China. And once again, please stop suggesting that the United States is "waffling" on its "security commitments" to Ukraine. There were 4 signatories to the Budapest Memorandum: US, UK, Ukraine and Russia. The promises made were to respect Ukrainian sovereignty and defend Ukraine from NUCLEAR attack.
The only nation currently in compliance with that document in the United States. Britain supported European meddling in Ukraine, the current Ukrainian government is in power due to European interference and Russia flat-out invaded.
If anything, the actions of those three nations make it so the US had ZERO obligations to Ukraine at all. Since, clearly those promises aren't worth the paper they're printed on

The Russians pulled the documents from public access around the Finland situation but if that means it's over and done is a different story. It can just as well be part of not providing an adversary with too much information they can react on. NATO countries would react around pulling Russians access to NATO territory trade lanes entirely on the European side forcing them to do everything through Murmansk and Vladivostok. They do not have that infrastructure in place at all. Both harbor areas are literally a dump without quality routes able to pull the weight

Hello , could you do a more sophisticated analysis of Russian economy and possible way forward using some expert . May be a Ukrainian friend. I have amateur studied Russian by reading history , anthropology books and geography books as well as living there and working in an all Russian work environment 7 years and work with Russia for nearly 40 years. I am still an amateur.. BUt OIl is only one of many areas where Russia is number one or two or three in the world . Their ranking is limited by corruption, oligarchy and old soviet style procedural cultures still (agree on goal and Cheat to seem to get there is the low end version . Please consult expert!

Ukraine has been supporting Russian Foriegn Legion attacks into Belgarod and northern border regions. This was to force Russia to spread more forces to defend that large border. Russia has nkw done this. The more forces directed to the northern borders the better. Russia cannot afford to do this.
