Happy tree friends was my entire childhood lol I loved that show but my friend’s mom wouldn’t let us watch it on Netflix so we’d watch it on YT

I understand that being a superhero can be a very violent job but those are the superheroes that crime fight. You can become a superhero by helping or saving people in the way normal people do

I absolutely love and miss Super Jail, Metalocalypse, Harvey Birdman Attorney At Law, The Venture Brothers, Assy Megee, the original Looney Tunes, the original Tom and Jerry and Mr. Pickles.
Edit: also the Oblongs and so many other Adult Swim series.

It’s so weird that even though I’m in my Mid 30s I’ve probably seen every Tom and Jerry episode as a kid. We had several VHS tapes of official and cartoons we recorded off TV in the late 80s early 90s that would be watched on repeat. “Mice Follies” being a stand out, even still to this day.

Not that some of these shows don’t deserve to be on here, but come on, how is Primal not on this list? That show has killer dinosaurs, an ape-man massacre, a zombie virus, and many other prehistoric horrors combined with lots of blood and gore. It’s at least on par with Invincible’s violence.

You put arcane instead of Love, death, and robots, and that show has it’s violent moments but LDR literally shows skulls being crushed, bodies being digested or torn to shreds, and people getting god damn evaporated

Children under 8 shouldn't be able to watch all these 20+ animated shows are meant for TEENAGERS, ADULTS AND MIDDLE AGED PEOPLE ALIKE.
I loved the power puff girls growing up. Cartoons can be very violent but, still be appropriate for most 7 year olds. I started watching family guy when I was 10, it isn’t the recommended age and enjoyed it at the time and still enjoy it today. Every child is different and there are some children that can handle quite disturbing cartoons with blood and gore but, most children cannot.

In American Dad Roger literally body slammed his elbow into someone's head so that their insides exploded like mush, but sure, leave it off the list.

I actually remember that I used to watch Tom and Jerry when I was much younger until my parents banned me from watching it for exactly the mentioned reason in the video.

Though not a very violent show Ed, Edd n Eddy also had it’s moments of violence too.
For example in The Good, the bad and the Ed, Eddy and Rolf challenge each other in a series of tests that were considered violent or dangerous such as getting hit by boulders, jumping off a cliff onto a rail track and being sling shot from a couch. In Dueling Eds, Rolf gets revenge on Eddy for insulting him by hitting him with a fish. Sarah Ed’s sister can be very violent when she wants to be as shown by the way she attacks her brother, Double D and Eddy. In a fistful of Ed, Double D in a running gag is seen hurting others by accident giving them nasty injuries but causing others to think he is a bully. And most famously in the big picture show Eddy’s brother physically bullies Eddy and even slams him onto Double D for sticking up for Eddy.
Some cartoons are too violent but I enjoy it

I recently rediscovered Happy Tree Friends and I remembered vividly how this cartoon got me through high school
I would love to make an adult cartoon with intense bloody violence in it.
The Simpsons had some quite violent moments (especially the Itchy And Scratchy scenes and the Treehouse Of Horror episodes). And why is Family Guy at number 18?
Where was Primal? I still get nightmares from that disease episode

I would really like to swap out the horrendous Happy Tree Friends with Invicible.... Damn, seeing Happy Tree Friends as a teenager was horrific and I would actively ask my brothers to switch the channel if they were into it. The trauma was real.

Itchy and scratchy is like a cartoon that is “for kids” but the creators didn’t really think it through cos they don’t care about how viewers feel.
How can Looney tunes and Tom and Jerry be more violent than Family Guy? Family Guy is far more brutal and gruesome
