Guessing Kris probably won't read this, but as you said you'd like to both try Haggis and visit Scotland, I'd highly recommend visiting the Scottish Highlands and hunting your own wild Haggis. You can get them from a farm, but the meat from them tends to be a lot chewier and tougher than a wild one. Wild Haggis just melts in the mouth and is great with gravy and neeps & tatties. If you stay in a Highland hotel they can even arrange an experienced Haggis Hunter to show you the best places to find them and how to catch, kill and cook one.
It’s really best to hire a local guide so you can contribute to the local economy too…
I am a Scottish Gamekeepers Association approved guide and would be happy to provide any tips for visitors interested in stalking wild Haggis for sport.
I’ve heard the wild haggis’ left legs are shorter than the right because they live up hills and mountains and can only go anti-clockwise around them so if you want to catch one travel clockwise.

All of these comments about haggis crack me up! Here in the southeastern USA, we have a similar tale about a Snipe except it's more like a bird (and not the ones you'll find in ornithology books or websites). Youngsters go about "Snipe-hunting" with an experienced guide (usually an Uncle or older brother) and though it is extremely rare to have a productive Snipe-hunt, everyone has a good laugh about it later.

As an American who has eaten my share of junk food, only two things I've had is the cheez-its and butter finger. Never had any of the other stuff. I'd totally be interested in trying all those scottish snacks if i could and like coconut so it seems to me like i should move to scottland, haha.

I just started laughing at 7:00 with the "I feel like these are what depression tastes like." Because based off the rest of your reaction to them, they probably are, and I found that hilarious. Also I have a new found desire to go to Scotland, if not just for the snacks, but let's be honest if I went to Scotland I'd probably never leave because it looks like such a beautiful place to be!
As an American, I haven't tried some of those American snacks myself. Never even heard of Funfetti cereal or the Everything Bagel chips or that particular flavor of Oreos.

Honestly, I haven't even heard of some of those snacks and I'm American. Canadian snacks are probably closer to what I actually eat, based off of what Kris said here and there.

As a Scot living in Scotland, I thank you for this video, yes we love sugary snacks and our coconut, also the Oatcakes taste better with cheese and Irn Bru is a soft "fizzy" drink (soda or pop to the US peeps) but we have so many other amazing snacks that don't have coconut I think you'll prefer

As an American...I don't even like most the stuff she tried. Of all those options I'd only choose the cheezits and 100 grand. Our snacks are all over the place. Most taste too processed.

I love the salt & vinegar McCoy's. The toffee takes a while but when your at the chewy part you can't stop! The oatcakes rarely get bought by anyone under 60 and you should try the porridge it's the best!

I think you should do a video with your favorite Canadian snacks. When I was driving through BC they had these really good gummy candies that were so soft and some had filling inside. I have not had anything that good in the US

Years ago there was a battle in the food industry where it was the following mentalities
"Sugar makes you fat" vs "fat makes you fat"
The argument of "fat makes you fat" won (for some fucked up reason) and the food industry started doing low fat foods but since the calories and flavor were removed by removing the fat, they had to replace it with something so they settled on sugar since "sugar didn't make you fat".
It's also why the food pyramid is wrong on so many levels.

Well carbs period contribute to more than just obesity. And yea for real. Refined sugar is very bad for you but most sugar, regardless of where it comes from, can cause more issues. Diabetes is a major possibility along with blood pressure issues. Main issue younhave high risk for, say if you do keto, which is high fat, is high cholesterol.
