I just ran across this at a perfect time. I really needed this. Going threw a divorce I'm a loner. I've never been on a plane and I'm 37. Its time for me to get out into the world. Thank you so much. I felt like I was really there. I got very emotional. She enspires me.

I”m so sorry to hear about what you’re going through. They say divorce can be even more painful than the death of a loved one. I truly hope you get on a plane soon if you haven’t already. There are so many amazing things to see in this world. My husband visited around 50 countries as a solo traveler before we met, and he has the most amazing stories! There are so many adventures we can experience in this life. If you don’t have a passport yet try Hawaii for your first solo trip. I went with my family (before I was married), and while it wasn’t technically a solo trip, it might as well have been. My family is amazing, but they were there to relax. I was there to experience EVERYTHING. I’d get up at 5am and walk two miles to take surfing lessons while they were all asleep. I learned to Hulu, and was told by the instructor that she could tell I was a dancer. I am, but it was such a HUGE compliment coming from an amazing women sharing her culture with me. Now when I visit I let her know I’m coming, and we dance together. If you’re kind and respectful of their culture and the island the people welcome you with open arms, and you can find friends everywhere you go. Sorry to go on and on, but I really found myself there. I almost didn’t come home… but my mom convinced me to get on the plane. IDK… maybe you could find yourself too. And it might be a baby step to even bigger adventures abroad. Good luck to you, my friend. You’ve got this. I know that you only have amazing things ahead of you in this life, even though that may be difficult to see right now. God Bless.

I have been solo traveling for close to 20 years. And it really is the most magical stress relief you can ask for. Seeing, doing, eating whatever the hell you want, in an amazing area of the world.
This is probably my 10-15th time watching this video. I have insomnia so I listen to this vacation vlog as if it were a lullaby each night 🩵 your videos never fail to bring me peace of mind, you never fail to make us smile. I went to Iceland about 7 years ago after ending an 8 year relationship and it was such an amazing trip. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a refresh!

Is it just me or does watching here videos just feel like an escape from the world? Even if they're only 10 to 20 minutes they always feel like a safe place that I know auntie Kris will help me with all of the things I'm going through, even if it's just a video, that put a smile on my face, not many things or even people can do that. I’ve been to Iceland and it was amazing. I went to the blue lagoon, the waterfalls and the geysers it was amazing and the northern lights were beautiful.
I love seeing how happy and excited Kris was throughout this video. That’s something about me. Instead of watching the view, I like to watch the joy, awe, and wonder on someone’s face from seeing stuff like this.

Had to come and chime in on how mentally reassuring and inspiring this vlog was. As much as I love the humor escape, being able to see life outside our neck of the woods in a place where you can feel safe is motivating. Thank you Kris.
She apologizes for not taking more pictures and videos. That just tells me that she was enjoying time by herself and taking care of herself. I appreciate the wonderful cinematography, the eyes she has to capture a moment to set it up and squared imperfectly so when she moves into the frame she fits. That takes a lot of talent and patience and time. I appreciate all that she did to share this with us.

One thing I noticed about you is that nature makes you genuinely happy. You should try to escape life for one day a week or half a day and go explore nature. The beauty in nature is magnificent

What is the cost of living there?

@@lanecrescent4161 we did a long time ago but dont anymore. We get about 15*-20* on good days but It can go as low as 5 even in summer so do bring good clothing if you plan to visit.

Can we just appreciate that Kris did all of this while carrying around a camera in hot springs, lava fields, waterfalls, hurricane force winds, etc., just to take us with her? Because that's freakin' awesome. :)

I know this is supposed to be a happy vlog but her eating alone and just enjoying the view alone made me sad for her because she's such a bright spirit and deserves the best soulmate to share life with.
