Canada to Texas in TWO DAYS ?
You're officially an American we LOVE playing "beat the GPS eta".
It was 3 days, but yeah
One of the great American passtimes! Lol
It's 34 hours from Vancouver to Fort Worth
It took us 4 to get from Florida to Utah 😢
Lol I play beat my elog everyday can only drive 11 hours in the US but 13 in Canada
Kris’s ability to find the fun in every moment is infectious.
She’s so nice and funny💗☺️
Yup
True
Je t'aimes très fort tatie kris 😊❤
@@bawilson999 ive lived in the us my whole life and i was so confused when she said water closet until she opened the door
You should do a video series on 1 month, 6 month, 1 year on living in TX and tell us what’s different and what you miss about Canada and what you love/hate about TX.
29:10 those are the blades that go on windmills. Fun fact: if something happens to 1 blade, the other 2 are unusable. Each set of 3 are made to match each other precisely.
That's right! As someone who lives in Denmark, I knew at the very first glance. Thanks for spreading the knowledge.
knew immediately, had to see if anyone had said anything.
wow, they are much bigger than I thought, although I'm not sure how big I thought they'd be.. xD
What a Mother. Driving 3 days with/for her daughter just to take a flight back again and go to work the next day. That's family!!! I hope this new chapter will become your whole story now.

thats what i thought too! awesome mom!

Glad to say my mom would do that for me as well ❤
She's such a great mom and awesome person.❤
20:33 “it looks like we're warping through space“ I live in Alaska, and whenever it's dark and snowing it always looks like we're in space 🥲
I'm jealous! I have always wanted to live in Alaska ever since seeing into the wild
Hey Alaska buddy! I live in AK too!
@@tashaquiett6497 Hi! You're the first person I've met on here that lives in AK too!
@@Dehsera I love seeing the wilderness around here when I take my dog on long walks
It's like you're accelerating to hyperspeed in the Millennium Falcon!
I drove across the country with my Mom when I was in my 20’s. We had a much smaller car, more stuff and a puppy! I learned so much about her and we still have jokes between us that came from that trip. Watching this reminded me of that. 😊
SAME! ❤
Imagine you’re the other car at the gas station and you’re scared of the other car and it just slowly rolls by you like the ppl inside are watching you 🤣😭
7:47 OMG THE SNORING i swear it's a universal experience 😭😭
Whenever we stay at a small hotel I always get stuck sharing a bed with my dad cause my mom and brother don’t want to deal with his snoring 😭😭😭😭
I first thought it was Kevin! 😂
haha yes! my dad snores SO loud when i go to hotels for softball. it’s terrible i get no sleep😂
@@brendatomlinson SAME😂
My mom snores exactly like this and would try to blame it on my dad when I was young, then on my stepdad when I was older. Like it wasn't obvious it was her. 😂
"its not a picture, you can move!" is the most mom thing ive seen all day. ❤
OLIVIA FAN???im a fan page!
That really was cute as hell wasn't it ❤
I can not believe no one has commented that if it's snowing DO NOT drive with your high beams on! It makes it harder to see! It's just like fog drive with low beams and fog lights if you have them! It's literally in the driver's hand book! I'm glad you made it safely!
Having not watched Kris for at least a few months and binging 4-5 videos in one sitting, it’s like seeing an old friend. Enjoy Texas Kris!
Kevin is actually the cutest being I have ever seen. His little head tilts are EVERYTHING
the 'don't swear so much' and 'he beeps it' was my favorite part of the video 29:53
😂

Did anyone else get a MAJOR NOSTALGIA TRIP 1:40-1:44 dang been around a long time watching Kris dang when nostalgia hits it hits hard and doesn’t stop 🙃🙂
You've given me so much peace, encouragement and excitement for my move! I've been crying every day, nervous and scared about moving 3 states away from everyone I know.
Thank you for making me realize I'm not alone. ❤
I love Kevin's expressions through all of this is confused but excited
can we take a moment to appreciate how good of a boy kevin was through out the trip. wish my dog was just as chill😅
He's true cutest ❤
Same my dog gets hyper and car sick she could never btw here name is Wednesday
Jay's insightful commentary is always top-notch.
Thank you, Kris, for bringing us along on your road trip. I love your content!
Those giant things you passed were the blades from a wind mill. People don't often realize just how big those things are because normally you only see them from very, very, far away.
was about to leave a comment about this, its at 29:10
yeah those things are HUGE. went to the southern part of Sweden and they were everywhere, i was not used to that and how flat the land is there
edit: i watched for half a minute longer and saw that it was also flat there lmao
❤
Came here to say that 😅
Came to the comments to say this
Gotta love spring in idaho. Sun, wind, rain, snow all in one day. Happy travels.
VA is like that too. Just drive 4 hours and it's a different environment 😆.
We always say "which weather was your favorite today?" 😭
And Michigan, where we went from 80 to snowing in two days in February.
Yeah most of the US is bipolar 😭
New Mexico's like that too lmao
Rain is a good sign it washes all the negativity away and brings good vibes!! Likes a rainbow
Mom snores are the best snores! ❤❤ I miss my momma. Wish she would do a cross country trip with me. Love you momma!
So happy for you, Kris! You deserve all of this happiness ❤
I absolutely agree

Kris’ mum’s menopause rant is the most relatable thing ever! I’m early 40s, had perimenopause symptoms since mid 30s and I am also done with this! 😂
yeah same, and i'm also feeling the "why does it show up the INSTANT i get in the car to go on a road trip?" vibes. i have been done having kids for 10 years, having to live with another 20 or 30 years of periods after that is just torture.
I had a long perimenopause, too . . . actually went through it a couple of years ago and it’s one of the best things that ever happened to me. Apparently, a lot of my anxiety was hormonal, because it’s nowhere near what it used to be.
I'm so grateful my period stopped at 42. Still hot flashing, night sweating, mood swinging, etc. at 55 though
@@niecey918 I can't remember a time when I didn't have hot flashes, but I started having night sweats a couple of years ago, and mood swings are starting up. So here's crossing my fingers for no more periods. P.S. I'll be 42 this summer. That would make for a great birthday present. LOL
@@niecey918 my hot flashes turned out to be the antidepressant I was taking.
🇨🇦 Welcome Home! We're proud and happy to have you! 🇺🇸
Those massive things you couldn't identify while entering Colorado were each one propeller for a wind turbine like the ones you actually show in a clip just shortly after. Wind turbines are crazy BIG
You mother is so great!
I love that she helped with moving you down to give you a proper send off to the man you love!
This truly shows you how much she cares and loves you!
Your Mom is such a trooper !! She's a great driver; and she keeps pushing through ! A strong woman ... she must be quite the rock of your family.
💯 percent yes ,I adore the whole family, her siblings and mother as well fam as I have only seen them. ❤️ and ❤️ 💖 💓 ♥️ 💕 😍 1:13
Texas is a great state.. welcome to the neighborhood!
My husband and I are from moab! So cool to see that you drove through, and I love your comments about Moab 😂 we may have been there when you came through which is crazy! And welcome to America! 🇺🇲
Hats off to your mum for taking that super long trip with you!! She seems so sweet!
5:35 Yakima?! Isn’t that where Carly’s grandad in iCarly was going to take her because he didn’t think that Spencer was a fit guardian? Until he ran to them as they were leaving because Carly forgot her inhaler, but she hadn’t even had an asthma attack since she was really little. That was what won her grandad over, clearly a core memory now and apparently the only thing I can think of when I hear Yakima 😆✨
came to the comments for this 😂
Same.
It's crazy that I randomly thought of this specific episode the other day... 😂
I KNEW I RECOGNIZED IT
Literally what I thought
I've lived in Texas my whole life and love every second of it
I have done so many of those drives! I love road tripping, and listening to your discussions. Cara and Kara are totally different names, and when I lived in Albuquerque, I had friends with those names. My BIL lived in Moab for years. I just did almost this exact drive earlier this year. Glad you made it safe!
Please have a safe and happy road trip. And thank you for including us on your trip. So much fun as usual. Your mom is hilarious!💯🔥🤌👏🙌😁💕✌️
Kris seems so excited
“Don’t cuss so much!” “He bleeps it!” 😂 glad you got to your new place safely!
When was that part
This has gotten me really excited for my move to florida! Thanks for the inspiration and glad you made it there safely!
Lmao i love her callung put football audibles in the beginning instead of "ATTENTION!" She was yelling "TEN HUT!" I was waiting for "B.......52.....B....52... HUT HUT! "😂😂😂😂
I love Kevin, he's such a chill cat.

My family and I did this drive from WA to Central TX when we moved 5 years ago. Gorgeous drive!
12:20 POOR KEVIN 😂😂
“Rain to snow to rain to snow again” this made me scream internally: Welcome to Utah Kris!!! Also my grandma is from Moab so people do come from Moab, it’s just a small place.
I live in Utah and it's so true especially this year...the snow and rain were alllmessed up and mixed up
29:12 by the way if you're wondering what those giant things are… they're actually the propellers for a wind turbine.
[Edit] thanks for all the likes guys and gals. 😊
yeah, now i'm just confused why they're in colorado if they're going to Texas
It's insane how much bigger they look on the ground than in the air.
@@emilysandrini896 Yeah it's a weird route going through New Mexico then back up to Colorado
@@emilysandrini896 I was wondering the same thing, went all the way to Albuquerque and then went back north thru CO. They must be going to the panhandle but there is a shorter route for sure thru Pagosa Springs and Pueblo. That midnight snowstorm drive across the Res must have been terrifying - we had a very similar experience about 30 years ago when we moved from Phoenix on New Years day. Freezing cold, snowing, midnight on the res and the low altitude setting on the carburetor on my "boyfriends" truck was not working well - seriously thought we were going to freeze to death because the truck was getting like 3 miles to the gallon pulling a heavy uhaul trailer and not a gas station for miles. Absolutely terrifying!!!
@@InteriorDesignStudent I know right, depth perception is crazy and the only reason why I know what those are… Is because a relative of mine works with wind turbines and I've seen the process of how they put them together, Definitely check it out on CZcams if you're curious.
My wife and I did almost the same trip from Abilene TX to NW WA for vacation 6 times. So cool to see all the familiar sites!
I'm probably your oldest follower. I am SO happy to see how you are thriving since being in a relationship. You have grown so much as a person and healed yourself and your relationships (also with your mom).
I pray one day I have followers like you for a long long time
Love that kris was confused by Midwestern weather because, as a Midwestern native i don't even understand it. 14:08 those were windmill blades 29:38
What do you consider the midwest? I consider all of this just "the west" or "texas" 🙃
I actually live in Utah and have drove past those
Yeah I'm confused to but hey glad you brought that up
@miss_daniele_83 When you google the Midwest, that's the area I mean solely because I live in the middle of the Midwest
Midwest weather is bipolar. We have gone from 80 degrees to a snowstorm all in one day. Welcome to the tornado zone of the US, Kris!
Good to have you in Texas. I apologize for the heat.
I loved hearing your dog panting in the background. I can't have dogs that big anymore.
Welcome to the States of America. ❤ Having traveled so many times myself, you just showed me so many things I have seen or felt before.
29:11 Being an Iowan and Kris being so confused abt the propellers of a wind turbine is just so funny
I literally paused the video to see if someone told her what they were, because I wasn't sure if I was right. I was! So, thank you.
Also, being an Iowan, I had to see if someone said something about the wind turbine propellers 😂
Trips like these, where everything that could possible go wrong goes wrong, are the best trips. After you survive the chaos and turmoil, you have great new memories, laughs, and appreciation for where you are.
💯💯💯
"welcome to texas, where nothing can possib-lie go wrong."
Kris you are amazing your are so inspiring and I just want to say you inspired me so much that I chose to do you for a project thank you so much for being yourself!!!
Girl i have done the trip from idaho to texas, mississippi to idaho, and texas to idaho so many times. The worst was taking a greyhound. 4 flipping days on a greyhound with so many sketchy people.
20:44 I'd recommend not having high beams on during snow, the increase of light reflecting off all the snow actually can make it harder to see
I was ab to comment this too
I'm guessing it's like fog, so you should be using your fog lights?
1:42 “Dads garage”?! How have I been watching you for years and still didn’t know that was your dad’s garage?!

Well that's good we don't know much about her locations and sauroundings....

Kris I am so happy for you. You started off small by filming in your dad’s garage to the house you were at and now traveling across America for your new house. To me that is just inspiring. I love you so much Kris and I’m so so so happy for you!!❤
❤❤❤❤❤
It's so funny watching all the Washington parts since I've lived here my whole life and I know the spots you guys drove through.
Welcome to Texas! We're happy to have you Kris!
That huge piece on the side of the road that the trucks were hauling is a blade for the big wind turbines you showed in that field. If you ever get a chance, stand close to one. They are so enormous, it almost doesn't feel real. One blade is 170 ft long. It's crazy!
Oh, and fun fact! When Kevin (or any dog) bows in that stretching kind of motion, it's their way of saying that they respect you as their owner and that they love you. What a sweetheart!! He loves his momma (how could he not?)
That's bullshit 😅
@@adventureexe6032 wayyy to put it😂 but yeah they're just streching
@@tommo__fitf_xx1390I was about to say this! My German shepherd does it everytime she gets up to go outside. Like she is stretching to go run
Sometimes it is! And sometimes they are just stretching. I think in this instance he was simply stretching out 🥰 He's such a good boy
WAY behind, but I just finally got around to watching the video, so going to comment as if it just happened 😅
1. I am SO excited and happy for you and your new journey 🎉💖 Glad you made it there safe and that you have been enjoying it
2. Kara and Cara are definitely two different names but the similarity of them paired with the other coincidences is 🤯
3. I'm sure you know by now, and that others have commented on it, but those large AF things on the semi trailers were wind turbine blades
4. I loved this style of video and getting to see an insight to your life. No script or agenda (which I LOVE too. You are mad talented and one of the few CZcamsrs I genuinely enjoy watching and keeping up with), just you ✨️
So happy for you!! Life is beautiful, enjoy every moment ❤❤
Honestly, I LOVE the vlogs. Its always fun to get a glimpse into folks lives. A reminder of the human behind the screen.

What beautiful nature was around you all the time! And your mom is sooo sweet and cheerful, so we can see that genetics really works🥰
So happy for you and Caleb, I wish y'all the best of luck. I just hope that after Kevin has been used to being an inside dog and having to go thru such a huge change that he's not going to have to be an outside dog now as well 😌. ❤❤❤
24:31 aww the head tilts! ❤🐾
Love how she referenced the song "Hit the road jack" by Ray Charles at 3:39
Me too!
Raining and snowing, snowing and raining is a good way to sum up spring in Utah
Having lived in TX for 6+ years, rain is something you really want. I live in west Texas, which doesn’t really get rain. We go almost two years with any good rain. We usually have a drought for one year, floods the next, droughts the next, etc. Yeah rain is something you love out here. It’s also sad without rain, the animals tend to get malnourished and die from dehydration. It sucks T-T send the rain our way :’)
@20:40 "New Mexico sucks" 😅😅😅 As a native New Mexican, I couldn't agree more!! Horrible winter driving conditions
Agreed as a fellow Mexican as well
its even worse since we arent built for the snow at all
Fellow New Mexican here, the roads are horrible in any weather. Not to mention, we aren't the greatest drivers. Lol
I love how Mom drove Kris to Texas. I admire the love and support her family gives her. It would be so hard dropping Mom off at the airport and I'm sure Mom had a hard time leaving. There had to of been tears but that's love, supporting your child on their life experiences ❤.
I cant get my mom to drive me to CVS 20 mins away😂😂😂
Hey Kris! I have been watching your videos since I was Little. You never fail to put a smile on my face, and you look so pretty today. I love that you spread kindness and positivity, I hope you get to read this love you lots -Isseah
I just made the drive from Texas to Idaho a few weeks ago and the drive through Utah was my absolute favorite, it’s so pretty out there!!!
At 7:14 when you were staying at the hotel, you were literally like 20 min away from me, which I cannot believe. So glad that Kevin’s first hotel was in my state
My brother has 2 Dobermans and I have a corgi named Donut. It's hilarious watching the cousins play, it's mostly Donut trying to keep up with his cousins and then getting trampled but having a great time and loving every moment. 😂
I’m crying for you. I hope you the best on this new journey
I love that you did the road trip their that’s awesome thanks for sharing ❤🎉

"I'm short tempered right now, I'm very anxious." Same.
As a New Mexican, I can confirm that the weather is absolutely ridiculous here. Different season every day, and it more often snows during fall and spring than winter.
I live in Illinois, one day we had a snow tornado, then the very next day we had 80+ degrees IN FEBRUARY. "The prairie state" more like "Everything that can go on goes on" state. Nature is wild sometimes🤣😅
Ah I find it so cool you drove through Washington! I’m from here and I hope you enjoyed seeing the state! It’s super beautiful
Congrats Kris! Big changes! New chapter full of love and happiness. ❤
Cows, chickens, Frankie, Kevin , oompa, a military serenade to start, A Pete sequel and captain Kris Collins is an excellent way to end my day. Love your stuff ❤
You guys have had the most appropriate welcome to America drive you could have had😂 it’s kind of refreshing to see someone come here and actually be surprised by the weather and stuff😂 all of my friends and family are from the US and we are all just so unbothered by everything 😂
So happy about you're next chapter! Vlogs rock!

I moved from Indiana to Austin. So it felt validating and comforting seeing someone make a similar drive.
Awesome road trip video! Albuquerque! My home state NM. Happy you passed through and saw our beautiful state.
I think some video was out of order.... Colorado would've been before your footage in NM.
Glad you made it safe!!
It's so trippy when Kris mentions areas I have either lived or been for long periods of time (Boise, Salt Lake City, Ogden, etc). Plus, the 13:13 mark? Yeah. That's Idaho for ya.
