    There's a lot of information out there that didn't exist 20, 15, 10 years ago and the people that are taking coaching, that are studying and improving their game are the ones that are finding success and the ones that aren't doing that are losing and saying online poker is rigged. This isn't 2004, 2005 anymore where you could beat 200NL and 500NL consistently as a recreational player. If you want to be a successful, for-profit online player, then it's absolutely imperative that you study and improve your game.

    I am sure as players spend more time in Poker and start STUDYING and understanding the tip of iceberg of Variance, they (me included) begin to appreciate the depth at which good players THINK about poker in general and at specific action level in all hands played.
    Having level headed players as poker friends would most definitely be so +EV starting out and through the journey of making it in world of Poker!

    A suggestion for a video could be reviewing a subscribers hand and saying what you like/dont like. Giving feedback etc. you can do this by making a discord community and telling what time you will do hand reviews and you can move one person into the call at a time to do a hand replayed via screen share or just talking. You can also make money if you grow a discord server.

  • @1LevelUpGuy
    @1LevelUpGuy Před měsícem

    You mention about making money Live, where studying players (likely) have much better skill edge as compared to online games.
    While, that's true for most part, don't you think the variance could be a LOT more difficult to handle?
    Even if you get in the softest games, where "no folds" is common strategy, denying equity is happening a LOT less and we essentially have to "make hands" to stack players, so in summary volume ALONE can neutralise the variance while realising all the true EV can take a lot of playing.. (which is physically tougher than online games).
    How do you think about this?

    • @1LevelUpGuy
      @1LevelUpGuy Před měsícem

      @@makepokersimple I agree to the fact that most people who complain about variance are bad.
      Online about 3K hands a day easily doable and I imagine 300 hands a day would be a stretch for live "grind".
      BUT, consider this comparison on primedope variance calculation website..
      A. 5bb/100 Win Rate of online player playing over 100K hands has 2.4% probability of being in loss after 100K hands
      B. 15bb/100 Win Rate of live player playing over 10K hands has 3% probability of being in loss after 10K hands!
      (both examples over 80bb/100 SD)
      Even with an edge that's 3x it doesn't seem like there's ever going to be enough volume to help us realise it well enough.
      Am I missing some important piece of this puzzle?

    • @makepokersimple
      @makepokersimple  Před měsícem

      @@1LevelUpGuy what do you mean? if you play 250 hands a day of live a day, you'll play 10k hands in 40 days of play. thats about 2 months of grinding. so you have a 3% chance of being in loss every 2 months. that seems pretty good to me.
