Roger McGuinn, Chris Hillman and Mike Campbell “American Girl”

The two legendary original members of the Byrds kicked off their Sweethearts of the Rodeo 50th anniversary tour July 24 at the Ace Theater in downtown Los Angeles. A fantastic set with the Marty Stuart Band was capped with an encore of “American Girl” with Mike Campbell jumping up on stage to join them.

McGuinn and Hillman just sound great together!
I love that a day after the anniversary of Tom’s passing all of these guys played a tribute to Tom (Mike Campbell did it with Fleetwood Mac). I was there for The Byrds show.
