I love these goggles - it's the only way and the only reason I enjoy my Mini 2. I think when you come from the 'fpv' side of the hobby, it's difficult to find any joy focusing on your phone during a flight.
It does bring life to the mini 2 for sure. I use them with others but like using the mini 2 most I think.

Hi Chris. I bought one of these a while back after seeing them on your channel. I'm really happy with it, it works a lot better with my evo 1 than using the old split screen goggles where my evo 1 has head tracking , it's very jerky , and you can't turn it off so with these goggles I can fly in normal mode ,Use my scroll/gimble tilt wheel and get a very smooth flight. I flew them on my last flight out to doc rock and they worked great ! Good to see your face as always!

I feel the same way you do. Screw the FAA, even though I am a pilot. I live between two GA airports with no control towers just Good Ole' Fashion common courtesy radio calls and I haven't hit a plane yet nor have I flown into a drone.

I have one and gave a presentation. I recommend all owners get the $8 Amazon Bluetooth mouse, or a roller ball to access all icons/menus, without opening the camera pocket.

It's been a year since my last comment on these masks. I still love them and wish I used them more often. They are great with my Mini 3 Pro but I have to use my N1 Controller instead of the RC Controller which is fine. Having a drone with Obstacle Avoidance is a huge plus, especially if flying low and between things as you have in this video. Your flying is exceptional with the DJI Mini 2! Happy Holidays!

Hello, good day. Thank you for the video. I have a question. I have a DJI Mini 2. However, when I connect a type-C data transfer cable, the application simply does not connect with the drone. I am worried that I will buy glasses and they will not be able to connect.
Does the screen is larger than a DJI goggle or integra? You seem to have large black corridor between the glass and the screen. It is not a panoramic screen?

I would 100% buy these and still be praising them for sure. I wasted more money in the past trying crappy ones which most do and then turn around and doubt these are any good. I was very skeptical when they contacted me.
@@QCGUY I tried some $50 dollar ones and everything was squeezed, pin cushioned in the middle with distortion everywhere. You can use regular VR goggles with Lichi - side by side screens projected but the resolution is quite low.

Hey Steve, I use a few different programs but they all will do that. Most commonly I use wondershare filmora. They have a free version you can try and all you do is drop the screen recording into the vid 2 row and reduce its size to a corner. Your main video will play as full screen when placed in the vid 1 row. Hope that helps and my link is still good if you are planning on purchasing these. I appreciate it ✌️

Great video!!! Where did you get the longer cable from...I've been looking the longest cable I can find from the controller to the phone..I have to hold the controller almost to my neck before I can use it...I have an android phone...thanks
Just search for the connection type you need with otg cable and you’ll be good 👍🏻

Hello Chris New to the channel and the drone world. Looking for some advice. Just bought the Hubsan zino mini pro . I want to use a tablet . I have no cell phone. Any recommendations on a 8 to 10 tablet under $200 . Thanks and Peace Bill from Buffalo .
My best advice is look for a newer used iPad mini tablet. They don’t have the issues androids have with these drones.

Absolutely…iPhone has a screen mirror option and there’s other screen mirroring apps out there as well.
Hi Chris, i have a mask very like this one, but i never could find a cable long enough that worked with my Zino,s, apple or android, i purchased several cables off eBay with correct plugs, but none of them worked, i am in UK and understand that you are in USA, could you give me a link to where i could get a 1m cable for apple that would work, keep the great video,s coming, yours are best on youtube for sure.
Apple is the easiest…use the white 3 foot charging cable that came with your Apple product. It works 👌

I just use my cable that came with my phone. It’s 3 feet long and that’s plenty so you just need the same otg type cable except usb c to whatever the controller has. Hope that helps 👍🏻

I also think you can use 1080 hdmi goggles with the Mini 2 if you use the original smart controller with goggles connected through the hdmi port. I'm not positive but I believe it works.
mini2 original controller does not have a hdmi port...
@@brain5t0rm The mini 2 works with the original smart controller. The original smart controller has a hdmi port. I saw a video a year ago or so where someone used hdmi goggles and the mini 2, I think he used the smart controller. I never tried it myself.
Mini 2 Smart controller with HDMI out and old DJI goggles is very good, if you happen to have them.
Both are relatively cheap on eBay now because of new goggles, and RC pro.
I use the goggles with the RC pro and mini 3 sometimes.
No need for your phone.

Yes, they will work perfectly with it and anything that has a app on your phone. 👍🏻
I've seen a new pilot flying FVP the other day . he was very confused to wear his hands were on the controller .what if a company used a virtual reality simulator to show the controller somewhere in the goggles,so you knew where your hands were on the controller and what buttons you were pushing
Practice makes it easy quick but my problem is using so many different controllers I forgot placement.

I love this! I agree with you about having a damn spotter! That is BS! I have those goggles too and love them but haven't used them lately. I could use them with all my drones but I mainly use them with my Mavic Air 2.

hm...unfortunately even with your discount code these are a bit overpriced .
I understand that the price seems high but the optics and comfort are as good or better than hdo2, orka etc at a 1/3rd of a price. So figure this is what just the optics cost without the electronics of the high end goggles.
@@JustFavorites123321 the optics are your phone . there is just a lens inside .if its a plastic lens then its a freznel lens which are very cheap . if its a glass lens a little more . price will come down eventually . then i may grab one. until then i have my dji fpv drone
@@fnkycoldmedina have to correct you in saying it’s not just your phone that makes up the optics here. Yes the lens is plastic but compare it to any goggles of its kind and you will see the difference.
They never go down more than 10% off normally so this 15% is rare. I’m not sure you will ever find them slashing prices because they know there product is good and they sell out. Maybe look for used 👍🏻
It's a pretty niche product with a small market which explains the price. I've flown with litchi using regular inexpensive vr goggles but the screen splitting makes the resolution quite low. I would say these goggles give 80% the picture experience of flying the dji fpv hobby v1 or v2 goggles. Still 4x better than analog fpv goggles! Curious how other would compare their experience.
@@JustFavorites123321 It’s a big enough market but everyone wants cheap so they get cheap and then assume these are as crappy as what they tried. Comments here and anywhere this video is posted say two things. Most say they love these while agreeing they wasted time going cheap in the past and then the other side is hung up on price.

No and I’ve not ever had my phone overheat except when leaving it in the car too long in the summer. Never in goggles or any other use…
Does your phone actually overheat or are you referring to when the screen goes dark to prevent actual overheating?
