I've been planning to get back into droning and I really really want to get with modern FPV, but knowing how to go about that is just about like taking a four year BS course in FPV at college. This all gives me a nice bearing to start with so I'm not wasting massive brain CPU cycles and ultimately desperately needed finances just to find my way. Thanks, Ken, as always for your wise wit.
I do have some very EOL Moverios that cost me a minor fortune back in the day, and I do love them for the fact that they allow you to see the drone and see your feed at the same time. Just need to finally get the HDMI accessory thingee for them, and then one of those badass tablets would make it all semi-perfect, for now.

It's a hell of a tablet except for the price
That's a great workaround to get your goggles working with almost any drone. But that tablet costs more than most drones, LOL. And always nice to see the V-Coptr in a video. Great video Ken, thanks for sharing.

I still got one of those toilets sitting on the shelf. Still works with the older Mavic drones.
The tripltek is a nice tablet. I had the last one and I wish it had the HDMI out like the Nvidia shield. Use to fly the Phantoms like that. So I sent it back. Since then I have more screens and controls than I need. I am starting a project on building a house out of them. LOL
Fantastic that Tripltek listened to us. Just a shame we can't get them in the UK 😢
We had such a good time, twice! The 9 Pro is an impressive piece of gear, when you remember to bring it along! Ken HaHaHA!
I can plug in my DJI RC2 controller into HDMI googles also, the RC2 has Native Display out via the USB C port in the bottom, I just use a USB C to HDMI cable, saves $1000 for a tablet (which is a lot for an android tablet by the way) even if it has an HDMI port.
Went with an S23 Ultra because I wanted a bigger display for flying my Mavic 2 Pro. Had to get a tablet adapter for it though. But the S23 Ultra has a peak NIT rating of 1,750. It also has this "Extra Brightness" feature.

Hey thank you for the informative Video it's really hilarious. When I tried Samsung galaxy with a USB c dongle the DJI app refused to work. My biggest gripe with that is the 150 Ms latency. Do you have any info about the latency between the goggles 2 and the Mini 3 Pro?

Hi Ken, good video. A workaround to HDMI output is to use the lower cost Tripltek 8" tablet casting to a Microsoft, or AnyCast module. Most all IOS and Android phones and tablets can do casting.

I know that the maximum height we can fly is 400'. I understand you can fly higher if you are flying over a very tall structure.
I understand the rules is if the structure is 1,000 feet you can fly 400' above that giving you a 1,400 max altitude.
I have a Mavic 2 zoom. How do you do that?
If you have a Part 107 certification from the FAA, you may fly up to 400 ft above a structure if in proper airspace.

Good luck with TRIPLTEK 9 PRO tablet. Mine came with no data card. The picture I took @ 48 MP could not match my Samsung S9+. It was sent back. You do the testing.

Ken, Only you would travel 2 hours to do review and leave the item at home, Tripltek makes a great tablet unfortunatly you can buy it here in Australia. Maybe they will fix that in the next version

Good idea... Lenovo has an entry level tablet with HDMI out. Why botther with extra port dongles, battery packs, and wires just to fly any drone?

I'm using the Racing Edition goggles from DJI.. can't we just use a special cord from USB C that goes directly to HDMI

It should work with any device that offers HDMI out.
When you notice after a 2 hour ride that you don't have that ONE thing it's all about... I know this feeling very well... beeing out on the field but my transmitter or my batteries just decided to stay at home...

You can use goggles with the mini 2 if you get the Maven app. I’m waiting for them to release sdk for the mini 3 but. I flew everyday using goggles with my mini 2 with the Maven app.

For the same price as the tablet, you can get two sets of HDZero.
