    Amp simulations and sound modeling have accelerated to the point that some guitarists have opted to ditch their amps altogether. The catch, however, is that they’re often tethered to a laptop and interface - where’s the fun in that, especially on the stage? Two Notes sought not just to solve this practical dilemma, but to introduce a new way to interface with your tone, via their all-in-one rig replacement, the Opus amp simulator and DynIR engine pedal. State-of-the-art technology meets stompbox-sized convenience, armed with an immense, versatile suite of cab, mic, tube, room, preamp, and power amp emulations alongside flexible connectivity options. Could it really replace your amp? Justin Bryant from Two Notes dropped by to put the Opus through its paces to help you decide. Check it out!

    • @TwoNotestv

      @@yb-g8015 Great question! OPUS can be used as a complete rig as it features multiple TSM preamps, customisable poweramps and our DynIR cabinet emulation - it can also be used in exactly the same way as C.A.B. M+. It's best thought of as a super compact Swiss army knife! Let us know if you have any other questions!

      @ccampau Před 10 měsíci +2

      Nice they added additional preamps vs the one size fits all of the Cabm+. Should have put in an fx loop and a dedicated footswitch for the tuner and it would be a better upgrade.

    • @TwoNotestv
      @TwoNotestv Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@ccampau Thanks for the feedback - we sincerely appreciate it. We wanted to keep OPUS as compact as possible and if we were to add foot-switches, we would have needed a lot of them! Instead we added full MIDI integration so you can create your own custom setup for the comprehensive OPUS architecture! In terms of the FX Loop, we are of the strong belief that Spacial FX / Post FX should be placed after the cab sim - this may be our studio background kicking in, however we feel this is how the best tone can be generated!

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  Před 10 měsíci

      Hi, Michael. The Opus can be controlled via MIDI so you could use a controller to switch different sounds, but it isn’t intended to be used into an amp. There is a To Speaker jack to still run to an amp, but the sound of the Opus doesn’t come from the output. This is really intended as a solution for people who need to run direct to a PA or recording rig.

      @@TwoNotestvthanks for the midi full capabilities. With a Boss MS3 you can use the Opus as your main multi gain stage generator (cleand and dirt) plugged into one of the MS3 loops and use all the effects from the MS3 either in front (gain stagging) or after (delay, reverb) the Opus...and place modulations anywhere in the chain!
      With this set up you could perfectly have a full pedalboard with only 2 pedals...
      If you want to go out fully stereo and ampless just connect the outputs of the MS3 into a Goodwood audio Loneline. All under 1k USD.
      I used to have a >15 pedals pedalboard a few years ago. Now with the Opus all you need is a MS3 to focus in what matter the most: play the guitar!

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi, Hawkcrossfamily… Good question! The signal flow is Amp to Opus to Load box if you don’t have a cab connected. An attenuator assists in output volume, it is not a replacement for a cabinet or load box. And then yes, the output can then feed to an interface or front of house mixer.
