  • We present The Post movie press conference in full.
The press conference is attended by Director Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. During the press conference Spielberg talked about whether the movie would have been made if Donald Trump hadn't been voted in as President of the United States, whether Meryl Streep thinks Oprah Winfrey should run for President and Tom Hanks talks about the importance of the free press and Truth vs. Xenophobic hatred in the press.
Streep also talks about her continued support of the Timesup campaign and her black dress protest at the Oscars.
Plot: Katharine Graham is the first female publisher of a major American newspaper -- The Washington Post. With help from editor Ben Bradlee, Graham races to catch up with The New York Times to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spans three decades and four U.S. presidents. Together, they must overcome their differences as they risk their careers -- and very freedom -- to help bring long-buried truths to light.

I did see THE POST as a prequel to the much earlier film, ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN. In fact I laughed out loud at one of the last scenes in THE POST, a very visual representation of the Watergate case to come.

How much longer are these three going to advertise their movie? It seems that every day they're on the air, saying how great this movie is. I don't understand. I mean, is this movie the greatest movie ever created? (I kind of doubt that.). I think it takes a lot of gall to keep pursuing people to buy tickets to this good movie. How can the actors themselves take that?
