I hardly ever finish series! Not that I don't want to, but I just wait and wait for the next one to get into my possession and when I finally get it I'm reading another book, then I just don't feel like reading it. Its a terrible thing.
same! especially when it takes certain books at least 2 years to be published so by then i forget about it and dont remember anything that happened in the previous book
DJplaymySong Yes! And I hate rereading books because you already know what happens and how it happens. And when a book takes 2 years to come out * Cough Cough Cassandra Clare* you kind of need to reread at least one book.

Dreams of Gods and Monsters was the best book in the trilogy and such a perfect close to the story. Just that book is one of my favorites of all time. Get on it Regan!!!
The Mara Dyer, Legend and Darkest Minds trilogies are soooo good! Their endings are so satisfying, so you should definitely get on them. Also I find Mara Dyer books to be quite quick reads...sooooo :)

I liked Days of Blood and Starlight best but, how has the cliffhanger not convinced you (Regan) to finish this series yet? I was more or less salivating to get my hands on this book when it was released.

I seriously can't believe you have not finished graceling that is one of my favorites. Also I just read unwind and I absolutely loved it I haven't read the rest of it but I can't imagine why it wouldn't be worth finishing since the first one was so great.
The third book in the His fair assassin's series is SO SO good. This series is probably one of my favourites. The cover sayings are different depending on which edition you get though which made me sad but it was still an amazing book.
I need to finish the Legend trilogy, the Throne of Glass series, the Gregor the Overlander series, the Unwind dystology, the Lunar Chronicles, the Miss Peregrine's books, the Maze Runner series, and the Giver series.

I haven't finished several of these series' either and I know what you mean about sometimes being too paralyzed by the thought that when you're done it's over to finish (see, the barely started United We Spy on my bookshelf). That being said.... You should definitely finish some of these! I'd say read whichever one you're excited about or passionate for but maybe make it a goal to finish one or two each month?
Last Sacrifice is SO GOOD! That would be the top of the list for me at least.

That's crazy. A lot of these series I started reading because you reviewed them and loved them. LOL.
Okay, I had some reservations about starting Rose Under Fire because it just sounded too similar to Code Name Verity which was perfect and I didn't want to taint by having a subpar retelling of the same story, but I promise the second book only makes the first one better. I don't know how she made such similar books so completely different but work so well together. It is beautiful and it needs to happen.
I love the Amulet series!!! I can't wait until the next one comes out!!
Definitely finish Libba Bray's Gemma Doyle Trilogy! So good, especially since you already love Libba's The Diviners!
I do the same thing with the 3rd books in trilogies and even the 2nd book sometimes! I am doing it right now with the divergent trilogy, I read divergent in a day about 2 years ago and loved it, I now have insurgent and aligned sitting on my book shelf unread because I don't want it to end. Also because I haven't heard great things about how it ends, and don't want to have a similar experience to when I read mockingjay and hated the ending! I also have the mortal instruments series unfinished, even though I own the books!

The millennium trilogy is amazing! The last book is just full of satisfaction
Lol I put off Dreams of Gods and Monsters for the same reason! Also, my problem with beginning a series when the books after the first one have yet to be published is that I forget a lot in the year between books. I almost need to reread the previous book, but I'm always reading new books so it's hard. I buy the books anyway so I can 1) support the author and 2) marathon the series.

I'm one of those people who struggles not to finish series, or have more than one on the go. I'm one for marathoning series, like I read the Mistborn trilogy all in a row because I just couldn't bring myself to pick up anything else until I knew what happened. It's why I'm often put off by long series because if I want to read them all in one go, it'll mean I don't read anything else for quite a long time
Remender's Deadly Class has more issues out, they're just in single issue form. So you have the option to catch up if you'd like to.

The Blood of Eden trilogy is AMAZING! I have read The Immortal Rules SO many times now. It's... Gah.. The rest lacks a bit of the bloodshed, but still, incredible books!
The Under The Never Sky trilogy is so good and you should definitely finish it!!
Dreams of Gods and Monsters & In The Afterlight are three best series finales I've ever read besides City of Heavenly Fire, Clockwork Princess, The Last Olympian, and Ignite Me

Kristin Cashire's books are great, although Bitterblue feels a little bit draggy and then you get to the end and you feel like there was so much more that needed to be resolved, but it's still worth the read

I just finished dreams of gods and monsters and loved it!! I have a lot of unfinished series like Mara Dyer, The Darkest Minds, The Hunger Games, Burn for Burn, Lunar Chronicles and yes Anna and the french kiss. I'm so bad at keeping up with series because a lot of them come out at the same time and then I only have money to buy a few of them and end up forgetting about the rest. 😔

This video made me feel better because I'm just as bad with finishing/keeping up with series. I find that if I don't read sequels as soon as they are published that the chances of me actually finishing the series is extremely low. Unless I'm binge reading.

Wendy Higgins' series is going to be five books I believe. The 4th one comes out next year.
Some of those series (ex. A Great and Terrible Beauty and Daughter of Smoke and Bone) I could've gone without reading and made up my own endings for them and then I would've been a super happy clam in my blissful ignorance of how the stories really ended, but no

Haha, I still have to finish Vampire Academy too. I read the first five books in two weeks and then when I had to wait for the last book to come out, I sort of fell out of the series. It's been sitting on my bookshelf since December 2010....

I put off finishing series too. But I just finished the Chaos Walking trilogy so I'm getting better! I tend to get halfway through the last book and just stop without finishing the series. THAT is a bad habit of mine.
I tend to end up starting a series (reading book one) and then waiting for the last book to come out and then... not reading the complete series for awhile (even if I own them all). It's a problem. Because then, normally by then, I had to reread the first book in the series, as well. This is what I try to use read-a-thons for...

You should start by reading the last book in the series that needs to be completed. You'll feel accomplished 😊

I hate finishing a series as well :( It took me eight months to work up the courage to finish the Legend trilogy and omg, THE FEELS. But a lot of them are ending/have ended this year, I feel like there's been an onslaught of them so I forced myself to just finish them before I get spoiled.
