Ditto, mine just started doing that. They have lifetime warranty: if it can't be fixed in situ, I will ask for a replacement resistance unit.

Lube on resistance unit tension bolt makes it much easier use

Do you ever have to top up the oil. When I spin I hear a gurgling sound that sounds like water.

I have this exact unit and recently the threaded rod does not stay tight. I tighten it up as far as I can and then it 'pops" loose again. Help!
