    Hello Tyson
There is an easier way to transfer files from the USB drive to the machine.
    Select "EDIT" then "GRAPH" screen.
Select "O LIST" then "IN OUT".
Then you have access to your USB drive and can load the files into the machine and save them from the machine to your USB drive.
    I wish you success.

We have this exact machine at work. We got it September of last year. One of the few things we don't know how to use is Fanuc's tool life monitoring in the control. Would love to see a video on that. All of our lathes are Doosan with Fanuc control but our 2600 SY II was the first to include that feature and we would love to know how it works.

      @john-peterklop8189 Před 4 lety

@@TITANSofCNC I wasn't talking about the tool setter although I agree it is cool and definitely deserves a video. I believe if you hit the custom1 or custom2 button on the Fanuc control you get a menu that includes a whole bunch features. One of those has to do with tool life management. My understanding is that you can have it record the tool loads during a couple part cycles with new inserts, then set some load thresholds and it will then automatically stop the machine if an insert breaks, individual tool load exceeds the preset threshold, etc. It was briefly explained to us when we got the machine but we never got it too work.

    • @TITANSofCNC
      @TITANSofCNC  Před 4 lety +2

I already sent info to Doosan requesting this info... I understood what you meant but besides loads etc... it’s get that you can check the tool for wear etc during a lights out run... and set parameters etc. Will get educated on it as we are also new to it. Then make a video.

Also, by far the quickest way to load programs into these controls, especially for short run jobbing work, is to have a pc mounted at the machine, and the machine plugged into the local network, then you can post from your cam, and using M198, can immediately press cycle start.

    BOOM ?
Where are all these machines coming from ??
Must be big money in CNC machining ????
( i know these machines are on loan ? It,s called Marketing. Google is good at that too )
Last time i looked most shops need to take a risk and run lights out to make the machine pay for itself.
The word risk is calculated by some but others find it,s more trouble than it,s worth.
All i see is my labour price going down while everything else is going up ??
Pricing jobs on how cheap you can buy material is what i see.
Not everyone is making parts for Rocket Ships.
    Actually i don,t know hardly anyone. ( maybe i should look harder ? )
But CZcams like always glamourizes everything.
All the best to those who are making big dollars from a CNC machine purchase.
But don,t go thinking this is a Golden Ticket to making money.
If you find yourself stuck on a manual machine for to long you will embrace what a CNC machine can do for you.
Don,t go looking to hard for work though, because everyone else is out there trying to stay a float and working for wage rate running there own machines.
Think about for a second, when it comes to CNC what is that they do so well ?
    Produce identical parts in volume.
There is a word for that, Made in China or similar.
This is what i find real consumers comparing prices on.
Make more parts and earn less per part ??
I wanted to be a Plumber when i was young ?
I should have, i would make more money per hour.
    Apologise,s for sounding so negative.
I just find what i write is real world machine shops ( true, maybe not all ) but most i know.
If they are still in business that is ??

I had the same type of experience. I spent the first 15 years in the trade on FANUC controls. That was "home" for me. I had very little exposure to any other type of control. I've spent the last year in Citizen Cincom controls, and there is no way I'd go back to FANUC full time. The Cincom control is so damn smart and well laid out. There are pictures and text for just about every function built into the machine. There are macros with pictures for tool setting that show you exactly how to set the tool. When simulating a program on the control it will give you warning if it detects a possible collision.
I've also heard good things about the HURCO control, but I never had any time on that type. My last shop had a HURCO 5 axis mill, I watched it run a few parts, but no real time using it.

On the new control like this one you can name it anything you want (up to 32 character I think? No spaces). The old system is still in place as well. I use the actual drawing number as a program name now.
