I bought a Ventrac a year ago and couldn't be happier. I was previously using my John Deere until I stumbled across this machine. I am impressed on how versatile it is and how easy it is to swap to different attachments. It's powerful, smooth, and doesn't complain no matter how much work I throw at it. I have about 600 hours on it and it's still running like a top!

Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

I have a 2002 John Deere x595 (diesel 24 hp) triple bagger for personal use. I take care of 1.5 acres of lawn. Grass & leaves don't pose a problem. It does it's thing; then I dump the 3 full bags in the compost pile.
Hydraulics are the best thing to ever happen to the working man.

It is. The Ventrac is virtually unchanged from the old Steiner machines of the 80s. They got greedy and sold the Steiner name to make a quick buck back in the day and then we're disappointed with where the new ownership took the machines. So they changed the name to Ventrac and used all of the old machines since the new Steiner equipment had moved on to newer designs.

Ventrac... I really love these and I would gat one over anything else if they were cheaper. I can tell you care about the products you make and I think in another video it was about 10 hours of hand welding and I know you can make money off them. I just wanted to say I love them and I hope eventually I have one. Thank you
The second engine for the blower is a poor idea. Doesn't ventrac have a rear pto? Are there controls for the second engine from the operators seat or does he have to leave the operators station to pull start and control the throttle? What's it like driving a mower with an engine hanging two feet off the side.
The ventrac is a nice machine but I don't know that the vacuum is a very good option.
Ryan B, the controls are operable from the seat. There is an electric start, and throttle control for the rear motor just to the right of the operator. The Ventrac does not have a rear PTO. There are rear hydraulics, but they operate the raising, lowering, and opening, and closing of the vacuum hopper.

Yea good if your doing residential but what about the commercial places, That big ass peace of equipment can't do with the tight area's and mulch beds or rock w/e what they need is something that can not only do hills (steep) but do everything commercial residential spring cleanup fall cleanups summer mowing etc.

Accomplish in 3 weeks the landscaping company I work for would have done that in 2 hours and doing 4-5 other places the same day lol what landscaping company takes 3 weeks to do a fall clean up at one place?

Just purchased this for business and not happy with the results. If anything is damp the intake tube clogs. Spend more time unclogging the tube than working on leaf clean ups. The rear door seal has already torn to shreds as well as seal between hose and hopper. This was a demo model as I was told company was not making any at the time due to engineering re-design so could not get a new one. Dealer wants me to bring it in so they can see why its clogging. Told them it took 7 weeks to get it when ordered can't let them have 7 weeks to resolve issues as snow will be flying. Like the cyclone rake performance better and have used this for 7 years with no clogging issues.

@@9carcottrell246 nothing was wet when I was using the vac. The problem I believe is debris has to travel uphill before dropping down into impellars. Cyclone rake is at same level. No uphill travel.

Did you watch the entire video? You disconnect the hose from the deck and it becomes a giant leaf vacuum.

We use a J,D, ztrak 930m with a blower fan and 17 bushel hopper ,,, it's awesome but heavy and much cheaper in cost ,,,, but,,, I love this rig,,,,
Any dealers in Texas ? Do not seem to find any close to me - central TX. If no, then customer support /service can be an issue in case I need any repairs etc.

How ofteen does that pipe get blocked especialy when everything is wet?
That's really an impossible question to answer. If you don't go too fast or try to clean too thick of grass and leaves at high speed, then, never. How fast is too fast? How many leaves are too many? How tall is too tall of grass? How wet is too wet? It's all situational. You can definitely plug it up if you ignore its limits, but if used properly it works quite well.

Does this use the standard three point hitch you could find on a John Deere or is it custom to ventrac
This uses a standard category 1 3-point.
But Ventrac will NOT tell that it is a LIMITED Cat1 meaning it doesn't lift as high as a 3pt on even a Deere 1 family tractor. Plus... NO PTO OUT THE BACK

Also, that is correct - no PTO out the back. Our tractor has the luxury of working with out-front attachments. It's so much nicer to use that way.

Probably in some ways. But if you have enough varied jobs for a tractor, it could make sense. You certainly wouldn't be the first person to own a Ventrac on just a couple of acres!
